and I don't get the hate for this movie. It's a good, fun, fast-paced COMIC BOOK movie. Lots of quick cuts and flashbacks but no different than, say, a Bourne flick.
As with ANY ensemble film, some characters were fleshed out and used more while others were not. Radical, right?!?
It is GOOD! Go see it!

best part of the movie? affleck catching deadshot. everything else belongs in the worst cut of the worst movie of 2016.

@ALostCause - No way, dude. There's no way you can honestly tell me that Suicide Squad was worse than Ghostbusters, TMNT: Out of the Shadows, or Independence Day: Resurgence.

@TheSoulEater - I thought it was great as well. The film was solid from start to finish. It wasn't perfect but it was fun.
The only litmus test for cbms is "does it entertain you?" If yes then it's a good cbm.

Amen! This movie was held up to an enormous scale.

I read mostly Marvel comics a kid and I'm not a part of the whole "DC vs Marvel" thing. I've liked and disliked movies from both camps. However, I'm beginning to really wonder if there may be some coordinated effort to flood some websites with negative reviews and comments whenever a DC flick premiers.
Now MoS and BvS had their flaws but this movie delivered what it promised.

@Armpitwebs - im not part of any movement, no one wants ME in a coordinated effort! lol i think the thing is that if you like the finer points of cinema (it's really hard to get this point across without sounding like a snob), the movies don't hold up. the structure of the stories are confusing. although i dislike both movies, bvs was fun! and ss had a couple fun moments! but for most the movie i was just wondering why they were placing the scenes in such a frantic and confusing order.

critics HATE bad editing. just trying to shed some light on why people dislike these movies, but im glad it has its fans!

5/10 for me

@ALostCause -
Great points. If they set out to make the next Citizen Kane I would say that they failed. I think they set out to create a crazy fast paced comicbook movie about misfit bad guys and basically achieved that.
I enjoyed it and my 10 year old son and his friend REALLY enjoyed it.
Thanks!

@Armpitwebs - i was hoping to care about the badguys a little more, and when a movie takes it's time the themes really sink in. but i imagine it's great for kids, my nephew couldn't handle how boring bvs is but i could see him liking this movie a lot. it's a stylish movie that had goals, i honsetly think the directors cut would be golden.

that would be sooo awesome lol

I think we're on the same page.
Given Ayers' previous work (Training Day, Fury), this could have been a better film. But as a CBM, I think it's above average.

It was a cool film. Will definitely see it again in a couple of weeks. I give it a 7/10!
