COMICS: SUICIDE SQUAD Variant Cover Spotlights The Characters From The Movie

For their next ComicConBox, Wizard World Entertainment has put out a limited edition variant cover to 1959’s The Brave and the Bold #25, which details the origins of the original Suicide Squad - but, this cover features the team from David Ayer's upcoming movie...

The cover to Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru's reprint of The Brave and the Bold #25 is given a Task Force X update from artist Ethan Van Sciver. This pays homage to Howard Chaykin’s original cover to 1987’s Suicide Squad #1, but replacing that lineup are the characters that make up the team from the upcoming movie: Enchantress, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, Killer Croc, Rick Flag, Katana, and Harley Quinn. No Joker unfortunately, and poor Slipknot is once again given short shrift.. but hey, he'll probably die after 5 minutes anyway.

manifest, I bet Ayer kills off Slipknot the same way Ostrander did. He seems to be taking a lot of influence from the series, especially with Enchantress.

Man I called Slipknot a dead man from the first group shot. Boring character design that is extremely similar to Rick Flag and he is a minority the guy is freaking dead.

I just wish Deadshot's helmet was more inline with that shiny silver bullet red-eyed mask. That mask looks great...Perhaps in the sequel

BTW, I thought everyone loved New England? ha!

I'm gonna need Antonio Brown to remain healthy and have a huge season for my fantasy team. Also, as a Jets fan, I hope Brown scores like five TDs, with a couple dozen catches, for a few hundred yards and they embarrass the Belicheaters.

God, Van Sciver can't draw for shit.
It's tedious and gimmicky, yuck!
Can't wait for Suicide Squad though.

@Lazarusreborn - "Belicheaters? you are really going there? come on man!"

If the hoodie fits! haha.

It's not like I came up with the nickname, I just used it because it seems to apply given the recent investigation's new info.

You read the ESPN report, right???

Apparently, the Patriots have a LONG and DEEP history cheating. Spygate was the tip of the iceberg!! One owner described Brady's Deflategate punishment as Goddell's "make up call" for letting the Pats get away with so much in the past. Not to mention, Goddell allegedly covered up the severity of the Pats cheating by destroying all info./documents discovered during the questionably short three day investigation.

The Patriots developed a process/system for stealing opponents signals. This included scouts covering their Patriots logos and pretending to be media, so they could film opposing teams outside of the legal, designated filming areas. They lied to anyone who asked and said they worked for Kraft Films/Productions. They repeatedly stole opposing teams playcall sheets from their locker room, to the point opponents started leaving fake playcall sheets. They tampered with the headsets in the visiting coaches' box during key situations so they couldn't communicate with players/coaches on the field.

There's plenty more, but you get the gist. Idk about you, but every bit of that qualifies as cheating, it's exponentially beyond bending the rules or misunderstanding of the rules, policies and procedures.

LMAO the whole country outside of New England hates the Pats. Their blatant cheating has finally been exposed all these years later. And Brown is a workhorse so he better stay healthy or this whole season is [frick]ed!

@Blackandyellow

It is just very convenient that ESPN, (and the NFL) the four letter network that started this entire deflate gate nonsense, all from a source that was an ex Jets employee...Every report from the very first one kept coming up as fraudulent. First it was 11 out of 12 footballs, then it eventually dropped down to just a few...not to mention that some of the Colts footballs were found under inflated as well...

Goodell wasn't doing a "make up call" from Spygate, but from the Ray Rice fiasco...Also, from being called out by several players and owners, saying that Goodell was too close with the Patriots owner.

Goodell and the NFL are simply doing damage control...the Spygate investigation was done "in house"....if that is the case and the NFL (along with the Patriots) are the only party that has all of the information in regards to Spygate...then how is this information getting out there all of a sudden??? Because the NFL is allowing it...because they were embarrased by a sixth round draft pick that happens to play quarterback for the New England Patriots....They are trying to change the narrative, just like they did when they talked aboot Brady getting rid of his cell phone...A situation that had nothing to do with the investigation, because Brady was told his cell phone was off limits to begin with, by the NFLPA and his lawyer...If Brady's cell phone was NEVER going to come into question, why does it matter what he does with it??...They put out that story of the cell phone to make Brady look bad, and in-turn making the NFL and Goodell look good. Just like they are doing now, by spewing out this 8 year old story. It is shameful

But because of the hate the Patriots success has brought them...they will not get the benefit of the doubt....btw, in regards to recording sidelines....a huge number of teams were all doing it, so the NFL sent out a letter to all teams to stop...The arogance of Belichick is what got him in the end for continuing the practice

When I asked if you'd read the new report, the answer is clearly no.

Your bias shows through SOOOOOOO bad it's painfully obvious. I think I cringed at one point.

Literally everything you mentioned is old news, nothing you mentioned pertains to the NEW report that came out the other day. Read the new report and you'll realize these textbook Pats fan defenses/deflections don't hold up anymore. I even provided you links, but you went on the defensive with old nonsense. Chris Mortensen f*cked up the Deflategate by reporting false info.

"Because the NFL is allowing it...because they were embarrased by a sixth round draft pick that happens to play quarterback for the New England Patriots"

This made me LOL very hard. Your delusion is so strong. It's important you know the Patriots are in the NFL. The story about a sixth rnd pick becoming arguably the best NFL QB of all-time is a story the NFL LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEESSSS. The against the odds, exceeding expectations, capitalizing when you get the opportunity, etc. are inspirational narratives that will live longer than any one of us. And the NFL will continue to capitalize on it.

"But because of the hate the Patriots success has brought them...they will not get the benefit of the doubt...."

HAHAHAHA. You really can't put your bias aside can you??? The hate pertains to HOW they've achieved said success... cheating!!

"btw, in regards to recording sidelines....a huge number of teams were all doing it, so the NFL sent out a letter to all teams to stop...The arogance of Belichick is what got him in the end for continuing the practice"

WOW. Because you didn't read or were blinded by your bias, I already addressed this. It is 100% legal for teams to record video of others teams' games as long as they film from DESIGNATED AREAS!!!! The Patriots instructed their scouts to cover Patriots logos, wear their jackets/sweatshirts inside out and/or wear orange media vests to hide their association with the Pats and ILLEGALLY film outside of designated areas. The Pats told scouts if anyone asks you work for Kraft Films/Productions and you're working on a documentary or highlight reel, you're not filming for the team. This is how they got caught during Spygate. The Jets were aware of what they were doing and the NFL caught the Patriot scout violating multiple rules.

Seriously. Go read the NEW report. It's just as damning if not more so for Goddell as it is the Pats. So you're whole NFL is out to get the Pats is hogwash. It's because the NFL, specifically Goddell, looked the other way and did the Pats favors in the past, that it's all coming to a head now.
