It Looks Like David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD May Have Found Its 'Deathstroke'
It was reported yesterday that True Blood star Joe Manganiello had dropped out of an upcoming TV show to make room in his schedule for Suicide Squad, and it now appears as if that has been at least somewhat confirmed. Could he be the movie's Deathstroke? Hit the jump for details...
Yesterday, Latino-Review's @umbertogonzalez revealed that Joe Manganiello had "probably" landed the role of Deathstroke in Suicide Squad after dropping out of comedy horror anthology Scream Queens, from Glee creator Ryan Murphy. Well, The Wrap has confirmed that he's no longer attached to the project and that "It has also been reported that he’s leaving the Fox series to clear up scheduling conflicts between it and 'Suicide Squad,' in which he’s being considered for the role of Deathstroke." While they appear to be just reiterating yesterday's report, the fact that they mention it at all is confirmation of a sort and at least adds some weight to him being in consideration for the role which will apparently see him take down the entire Suicide Squad as Deathstroke. For now, we'll just have to wait and see, but expect to hear more soon...
