The latest tweet from Suicide Squad writer/director David Ayer teases progress on the Toronto set, as well as a visitor in the form of actress Cara Delevingne, who also tweets vaguely about what to expect

While Jared Leto has lately been taking to social media to tease his hairstyle transformation for the Joker supervillain role in the Suicide Squad movie, director David Ayer has returned to Twitter with yet another amateur photo teasing the production's development. Featuring star Cara Delevingne, who will be playing the Enchantress in the DC Comics adaptation, the photo's caption says she was "inspecting" the set in Toronto, Canada. The English model/actress later responded to the photo saying that Suicide Squad is "going to blow people's brains out... LITERALLY!" What do you think?

Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), with Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), and Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor). The film opens August 5, 2016!

If you'd told me in 2008 (when The Dark Knight hit screens) that a film about a group of characters few people had ever heard of would be the center of a "Highly anticipated" film, I'd have thought you were mentally ill.

Was GOTG? Is anything aside from the big names like Spider-Man, Batman, Superman? The vast alone will put asses in seats

Suicide Squad is honestly going to be the second coming of Christ. How you don't realize that is simply baffling. It'll easily make 3 billion in the B.O.

(Not even fronting anymore. My motives are quite clear)

Honestly, Guardians had a GREAT buzz leading up to its release...especially outside of the comic book community (and probably even more so. To me, it seemed like most cbm fanboys thought it looked dumb). The way the trailers sold the tone of the movie was the biggest selling point for the casual movie fan.

Suicide Squad will have to do something similar, but obviously tailored more for their own movie. Teasing the Joker, having Harley Quinn front-and-center, and showing off the impressive cast should all be at the top of the list for the trailers. If they nail that, then positive word-of-mouth will build for the general audience too.

This sounds good to me. I see this doing a very good job at the box office. I think it will surprise a lot of people and will introduce lots of people, to characters that exist in this universe.

From tweets, to YouTube, to friends/family and all the great buzz I've read, I'd say the movie is pretty anticipated. Of course, mostly because of the awesome talent it has going for it.

The New joker alone will get everyone and their grandparents asses in the seats for this film.

If they loved Ledgers shit half joker they are going to dig the definitive joker brought to the big screen.

Finally we get THE joker.

When are people to wake up and realize this is the film they don't deserve but desperately need? Trust me. Come August, everyone will be saying this was the best CBM of 2016 hands down. No question.

Furthermore, Cara Delevingne needs to wear less clothes.

That's my sexist comment for the day. Now someone be a dear and go make me a sandwich.

I can't [frick]ing wait for this. The cast alone puts a shit ton of bodies in seats. Add the fact that a more than capable director is doing it, then you get good word of mouth. It will [frick]ing own. Obviously, I am anticipating BvS and Civil War more, but this looks so [frick]ing cool.

@Wannabe Yeah, but Marvel isn't following the comic no?

Sort of how like Age of Ultron is just using the title of that recent arc, which sucked.

GotG was not anticipated by almost anyone, even a lot of comic book fans, not until trailers hit, and this movie has not even start production yet. Do not underestimate the Joker, is a character that has a lot of fans, and is way more popular than the GotG, and is as well known as the big names (Superman, Batman, Spiderman).

Gusto, that picture shows how great a Shadowpact movie would be. Hopefully WB realizes that could be their Guardians of the Galaxy type film.

Rumor has it that Joker gets out during a prison break and that's when Batman steps in scene.

End movie.

I lose my shit!
