Henry Cavill finds his "Lois Lane"

Looks like Henry Cavill is going to be a busy guy over the next two years filming "The Man of Steel" and planning a wedding.

Sorry ladies, looks like Hank Cavill will be off the market as he is engaged to his girlfriend Ellen Whitaker, a contender for the British Olympic Show jumping team.

Cavill proposed while on vacation with his then girlfriend (now fiance) and it sounds like our "Man of Steel" showed signs of chivalry much like we would expect to see from the old fashioned farm boy Clark Kent....

"Before asking for Whitaker's hand in marriage, Cavill reportedly asked her father, Stephen, for permission before he got down on bended knee."

Congratulations to the happy couple.

Yeah man, CBM gets REALLY uppity about articles we post which is strange because if people can post articles about CBM actors who've passed away then why not about a CBM actor getting engaged? That is HUGE news and I'm surprised they would delete it.

@trappdinsteel....i had a few words with someone at CBM after mine had been deleted as well and they saw what was going on and reprimanded the certain someone who had been deleting this news and so CBM decided to post yours back up since it was the first and clearly the best. so again youre welcome bud. what i was told is that this news is clearly relevant and should be posted on the site.

Wow, I missed a lot of activity last night!

@Naterator - thank you for reaching out. Let me know if I can merge any parts of your article in here that I did not have in mine to share it.

@Comedian - I really didn't think twice about you deleting my article, I had simply given a heads up to naterator that his might be deleted too, Originally I hadn't seen it on the website and figured it would fit. I appreciate you saying a few words, and I do not take it personally.

@Waylon - To explain myself, the only reason I thought it to be relevant in the first place was because there have been numerous related (death/arrest) postings on the site as well for other CBM actors. On the same day that I posted this, an article about Jackie Cooper passing away was posted. I have seen "ecksmanfan" post an article about Nick Cage being arrested which was never deleted so I figured Henry Cavill being a lead CBM actor, it would be relevant. If we can celebrate our favorite CBM actors passing away and getting arrested I simply figured something like getting married should be celebrated as well. No harm no foul. It is the same thing as your reasons for posting pics about Cavill as Theseus in "Immortals" that some other CBM users don't agree with ;). I think that fits as well fyi.

Some of the other guys whos articles were deleted probably saw it in a similar way that death, arrest articles were never deleted and just didn't understand the inconsistency.

We all love CBM, I'm sure you guys go through a ton of articles, keep up the good work and we will keep filling your inbox with new articles :)

I just hate the sheer hypocrisy on this site sometimes. They delete marriage articles yet they keep posting arrest/death articles of CBM actors.

no harm no foul. I wasnt trying to create a stink. I just think that anything CBM related is valid. I posted an article nearly a year ago that was superman related in the sense thatit had to do with an illness that had spread in a city that upheld a statue of superman in the city....anyways...i just wanted people to be aware of those that respect or look up to the same things that we do.

I believe that if people want to edit other peoples articles off the site then perhaps instead of deleting the articles (because in some cases they CAN take considerable effort in short amounts of time because they are time sensitive...lets see who can post it first kinda thing) then perhaps the editors and even VOLUNTARY editors should write the author of the article asking why they think their story is relevant to the site rather than just deleting their effort to contribute to the site? its just an idea.
