Movie was on par with IM3. Worth seeing, enjoyable, but lacking. Could have been so much more. Lower your expectations a bit and I think you'll enjoy it more.

I love the way people are going on about Rotten Tomatoes. Half of these reviewers don't have clue or are biased. There are a handful of reviewers I do respect and read because of the way they approach and express themselves. In the end I will make up my own mind about a film.

@doubled you have been hating hard on this movie well before it was released. stop feigning concern, Seriously dude, give it a break. You dont see it now but supes success is good for all CBM.

@censorship sucks because during superman returns you didnt have insecure marvel fanboys writing shit. you only need to see on this site there are quite few enemies of success here in Nick salinksi/crossbones, 69ballzdeep, doubled, sagemode some of these guys behaviour and comment is overtly troll like while a couple of them do exactly the samething (doubled and crossbones) but try and dress it up as neutrality.

@DoubleD so basically, this reviewer you're quoting is complaining that the movie has a serious tone? I'd ignore them then, if I were you. That's a clear indication of bias - the only time you should even consider listening to anyone complaining about tone is if the tone is uneven, or not suited to the film (for example, a comedy that isn't funny). It was always evident that Man Of Steel would take a more serious approach, so if the biggest complaint about the film is that it's 'not funny enough', then I think we're off to a pretty good start.

Not saying that I'm certain the film will be good, just saying that critics can be biased and you should take what they say with a pinch of salt, and think for yourself - whether or not you like the film, it should be down to you, not what some guy writing on the internet or in a newspaper tells you to think. Cautious optimism is a good approach.
