Back in the 1970s, JoAnna Cameron's portrayal of Isis on the CBS Saturday morning series inspired the imagination of many a young man. In the 2000s, Erica Durance has done the same thing as Lois Lane on Smallville. Now the actress will be playing Isis on an upcoming episode's final season.

Here's the story by way of the Superman Homepage: "Holy Moley! Ausiello TV over at EW.com has a surprising revelation for "Smallville" fans. On the upcoming season 10 episode 'Isis', Erica Durance will play the character of the same name from the DCU. O Mighty Isis first appeared on The Secrets of Isis as a spin-off of the 1970's Shazam! live-action television show. There her secret identity was school teacher Andrea Thomas played by actress JoAnna Cameron. The show aired from 1975 to 1977 on CBS. Erica Durance, Lois Lane on Smallville, will play Isis on the show -- whether we're talking possession or a body double remains to be seen. The name Isis isn't a new one to Smallville -- it is also the name of the Foundation set up by Lana Lang and later run by Chloe Sullivan devoted to helping meteor freaks of the non-homicidal variety."
