Laura Vandervoort On Supergirl's Smallville Return And Future!
The actress talks about returning for the final season of Smallville, what we can expect to see in the episode that airs later today and the future of Supergirl...
On Returning To Smallville For The Final Season:
"I was happy to go back. It had been almost two years. I went back in Season 8 for an episode. It was nice to go back and I'm glad they came up with a storyline that kind of explains where she was for a year and a half. She does come back for a reason. She's teaching Clark an important lesson in this episode that he will or won't fail."
On Whether It Was Hard To Return To The Role Of Kara Kent:
It wasn't hard to get back into Kara. It's like a family over there at Smallville and you get into it pretty quickly. But it did take awhile for me to remember who she was and where she came from. And she's actually a lot more mature in this episode than we've ever seen her. It's good. She's stronger."
On What We Can Expect To See From Her Character In Season 10:
"Kara has the superpowers and is very defiant and has her own opinions. Kara comes back and is kind of talking down to Clark a little bit, teaching him. You know, 'You're so behind in your lessons. You can't fly. You can't do this. Your father gave me this directive and he doesn't want you involved. We don't think you can handle it.'"
On The Future Of Supergirl In Smallville:
"It's not necessarily a wrap up. The storyline is left open ended. Kara doesn't necessarily leave, but I don't know if she's returning to the show. She's staying in Metropolis, but I'm not sure if you're going to see me again after that episode."
