Superman Grounded Till At Least 2012

Warner Bros. released their movie slate today via Variety, with no plane, no bird, no Man Of Steel on the horizon till at least 2012.

Which means from a court ruling set forth last week that Warner Bros. will lose rights to Superman if a Superman movie is not in production by 2011. With the studios jam packed all star line up of films which includes the last two Harry Potters and the Green Lantern film, makes it look pretty grim regarding the studios ability to get a guy up in the air to play Supes by the 2011 deadline.

Alan Horn (WB Chief) said at the trial that a Superman movie is not currently in development, no script exists, and that the earliest we could possibly see Superman fly again would be 2012. This would put The Man Of Steel up against Marvel's The Avengers.

Unfortunately the Warner Bros. release schedule also had no time slot for a third Batman film from Christopher Nolan. Mr. Nolan has not said if he will return to the Bat franchise.
