This is a fan film that I came across about one of my favorite superheroes The Shadow. It's kind of a what if The Shadow took place in modern day. The way it's done is similar to "Batman Begins." Anyway, I hope you guys like it. I felt this guy captured the essence of The Shadow pretty well with the laughing and the way he tends to strike fear in his enemies.

It’s a decent effort…but an effort at what? Certainly not The Shadow. It seems to be an attempt at a Nolan’esque batman film with batman dressed up as the Shadow. Another problem is that the amateur film makers make the unforgivable mistake of borrowing dialogue from the absolutely horrible Mulcahy/Koepp film. This is exactly what we DON’T WANT!! If anything…the previous Shadow film is the example of what NOT to do.
And how hard would it have been to mix an updated version of Saint-Saen’s Omphales Spinning Wheel..the music from the old radio show as the background music? I don’t think I’ve met anyone yet that really understands who or what the Shadow is all about. I just hope to hell that whoever ends up doing the next Shadow movie does some actual research into the pulp stories by Gibson.

Too late; they already did!
The Shadow is A MYSTERIOUS character, so the less known about him, the better. Don't have him talk so much. A character that announces his presence with a spooky laugh, and then just takes the bad guys out, is much scarier, smacking of the Supernatural. And another thing: the Shadow is DEADLY. If criminals try to take him on hand-to-hand, the Shadow fights them in the same manner. However, if they use deadly weapons, the Shadow is more than capable of meting out the same force with frightening efficiency. That was one thing that the movie lacked. Criminals were scared green of the Shadow, for they knew he was a truly DANGEROUS opponent, who would kill if necessary.
He really is a more lethal version of Batman, to be honest, using fear and terror tactics as a psychological weapon, with some serious firepower to back him up if need be. AND NO CUTE ONE-LINERS!
