Did I do it well? Did I look like a truck driver? Because I’m a method actor. I bought myself a truck and I rehearsed!"

They just tell me what to do. I never have anything to say about it. When I show up, I never know what I’m gonna do."

"I think young kids have always loved fairy tales — stories of monsters and giants and witches. But as you get older, you can’t read fairy tales anymore. But then along come superhero stories and they fill the same gap. They’re like fairy tales but they’re for older people in the real world, and I think everybody loves things that are bigger than life, you know? And certainly superhero movies are."

"I wonder why DC Comics doesn’t have me do a cameo in Batman? Just think how people would come to see that. They wouldn’t believe it."

Stan Lee should NOTTT appear in TDKR ONLY BECAUSE, a non comic book fan would be confused as to why the creator of spiderman and Marvel compics is in a DC movie or movie about Batman. that would only confuse them and have them thinking that batman is part of the marvel universe. Why didn't he want to be apart of batman years ago? He only wants to sponge off of huge comicbook success and have people thinking he has something to do with the success of batman..common man i see right through your lil act and it won''t work on any of us smart fans...p.s. i still like marvel comics and stan lee :)

hahah i watched the video after i commented shhhh. and i realized he was only joking lol. but still, a comment like that just goes to show where his mind is at in terms of making a buck. don't get me wrong, i have an IMMENSE amount of respect for Stan Lee and he seems like a real great and amazing man. No hard feelings for the above statement, but i would never want to see him in a DC movie anytime soon :P

TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY I'm a Marvel fan boy and with all due respect I hate DC, they have one awesome character and that's Batman.

WHY DC COMICS SUCK SO MANY THINGS...

1.All their heroes wear capes & don't wear their underwear correctly.
2. The back ground stories suck, and have been told to many times in so many different ways.
3. All their early comics are just stupid.
4. Their continuity is all wacky and is very confusing. How the [frick] do you explain Batman fighting Nazi's but at the same time he's the same age he was back then but in the 21st century? I know they say its a different universe but still.... BULL SHIT.
5. Reason number 5 is just plainly Marvel is cooler & less confusing.

Please explain why you believe DC is cooler.

Fu*k this. He has enough cameos in nearly every damn marvel film. Keep him the hell away from Batman and pretty much anything DC.

@Superguy- AGREED DUDE!!! DC is the better company.

DC is the better company? That's funny and untrue. According to Diamond Comics Distributors, Marvel has dominated the comic book market for decades. Don't believe me? Check out the statistics for the last decade:

And regarding Stan Lee, He is The Man.

@Spideyrules

1. Dc characters are cool because they have the most recognizable cast of characters. Dc characters are more super-hero than Marvel characters thats why they have more flashy costumes. Why Marvel costume are more grounded. You know how most Marvel fans say they like Marvel because they are more relate-able. I dont see you can relate to any of these characters. Unless you can climb walls and conjure up spells. Dc characters to me are more like the gods of Olympus because of their larger than life appearance along with their made-up cities. The hall of Justice and Watchtower could be called Mount Olympus. Marvel heroes are too grounded to reality. Which mean Dc characters can get away with blowing up and damage a big parts of their cities and can get away with it while Marvel really cannot do that kind of destruction to NYC and such. Oh yeah it funny you say wearing capes and underwear outside of their suits is wrong but its funny how people go ape sh#t when anyone try to change it. I mean come one when Dc characters change a little part of their costume it makes news on mainstream news. Marvel did not get that same reaction when Steve Rodgers got his new suit or one of my favorite characters from marvel spidey's new ff suit. That should tell you something.

2. How can you say the background o the characters suck when pretty much all super-heroes have similar backgrounds. Yeah Spider-man got bit by a Spider and is poor, but yet he is suppose to be real smart so tell me this why can he not just get a job at a scinece lab like he is finally doing now in the comics to make a ton of cash instead of working for a newspaper company making less. I mean come on Spidey is one of my favorite characters but the dude could use common sense. He made webbing you know how much money he could from that. Then here is the real kicking Marvel is so heroic but yet they made Spidey sell his soul which ticked me the f off. And let not jump into A-rod...opps I mean Captain America steroids background.

3. Come dude like Marvel don't have stupid early stories. You have to realize stories relate to the time in which the books are released.

4.Dude you are being an A@! Marvel being confusing was the reason that made me start to read Dc comics and turned me into a hardcore dc fanboy when this decade first started. Marvel has not been good to me since the nineties. I mean come on Spidey clone saga, civil war, red hulk I pretty sure they will try and make more colors of hulk to start a hulk corps.

5. Reason five is that you are a Marvel fanboy and nothing is wrong with that. I just hate when someone who do not read the other companies books tear it down. Im a Dc Fanboy through and through but I love Spider-man, Punisher, Bruce Banner Hulk, Psylocke, Storm, and even Cyclopes like I do my Dc Characters. I do not go around saying Marvel suck only time I do that is when I try to defend my favorite company from people like you that do not even read the books.

Uh dude Marvel have more books in the market place than Dc. Look at the books that are in the top ten,the majority are Dc.That should tell you something.

UltimaRex
UltimaRex - 4/3/2011, 2:29 PM
OK Spideyrules it boils down to this, superheroes are supposed to be modern mythology. The DCU fills all the archtypes. They are pop culture gods. The Marvel universe are just guys in costumes and/or freaks. Sometimes that's good. I love the Ultimates and Civil war but when I think of superheroes I think of DC.
Priest
Priest - 4/3/2011, 2:36 PM
@ dadarkknight,

Again, the facts are in Marvel's favor. At Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc you can also check for the yearly top 10 most sold comics. Guess what? Statistics starting in 2002 point out that Marvel and DC are pretty much even in the top ten, with some years dominated by Marvel and other years dominated by DC and some years where they are tied. But, it is noteworthy to see that in the last 4 years, a Marvel comic is the #1 most sold comic book for that year. If you don't believe me, here are the statistics:

http://www.diamondcomics.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=3&s=237&ai=96607&ssd=

@ Priest: Uhhh... Making more money =/= better company. =/

Avatar is the top grossing film of all time, yet it's easily the most overrated film of all time. Oh and did you forget Marvel almost went bankrupt in the 90's? :3 But I love them both equally, except a little more to DC because of Marvel's actions of the last couple of years in regards of terrible stories, terrible events, terrible characters(I'm looking at you red hulk), the occasional jabs at DC or other companies(like the stupid blackest night cover thing and Brother Voodoo's latest costume looking suspiciously like spawn) and the fact you've got a real asshole working as a big wig.
dadarkknight
dadarkknight - 4/3/2011, 2:54 PM
@Mechagino
I second that, Thats another thing that made me mad about the company. The higher ups at Marvel talking made sh#t about Dc because of their movies doing better. Like recently Brian bendes whatever his name is talking mess about Dc when they could not get a deal to go though for Wonder Woman. Then alot of the Marvel writers going off on the first GL trailer, and the whole ripping the cover off books thing you mentioned.
Priest
Priest - 4/3/2011, 2:55 PM
@ Mechagino,

In order to make that money, they must be creating a product that people are willing to buy. I mean, they must be doing something right to have their comics in the top 10, don't you think?

Here's the thing, DC fans will not care about comic book sales statistics in order to define which company is better because they measure that according to their comic book reading taste and not according to company success. And that is fine and understandable. If we measure by taste alone, we can agree to disagree.
Mechagino
Mechagino - 4/3/2011, 3:23 PM
@Priest okay, but like I said making a lot of money =/= equal being great as I said, take avatar for example. And remember, like I said before Marvel almost went bankrupt in the 90's. Just because something is making more money then something else doesn't make it better. Like Invincible for example from image comics pwns the ever living crap out of mainstream Spider-man books since One More day.

Oh and I hate it how Bendis is STILL working on the avengers books and they're still not good. ):< You would think he would get the hint but no, he STILL manages to work on them or atleast the main stream avengers books. Please, let someone else write them!
dadarkknight
dadarkknight - 4/3/2011, 3:34 PM
@Mechagino
Exactly, Just becasue you make the most money does not mean nothing. What matters is how much money you are really making. Lets look at it from a box office propective. Incredible Hulk made alot of money at the box office and was number for the weekend, good right? wrong even though it was number one at the box office and made a lot of money it did not make enough to recoup how much they put into it. So like you are trying to say to @Priest
just because you make alot of money are that you are number 1 dos not mean a thing depending on the situation. Then at the end of the day it does not matter where you rank when it comes to making money, A company can be second or third place as long as they make more money than what they put into what ever they are selling then it all good.
