It Looks Like Korg Will Be Entering The Gladiatorial Arena In THOR: RAGNAROK

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has shared a photo which points to the monstrous rock creature Korg from Thor: The Dark World (and the Planet Hulk comic book) returning for the follow-up...

Will Thor be squaring off with Korg when he enters The Grandmaster's arena in Thor: Ragnarok next year? Based on the image shared by director Taika Waititi which you can see below, it definitely looks like we should expect to see him factor into the movie in some way! Last seen being pretty much blasted into rubble by the God of Thunder in Thor: The Dark World, the method of his return is unclear.

Of course, there's a chance that the stone creature we met in that movie wasn't Korg, though the Planet Hulk story revealed that he was one of the aliens the hero battled way back in Journey into Mystery #83. It was during both Planet Hulk and World War Hulk that Korg became one of the Jade Giant's closest allies, so seeing how he factors into Thor: Ragnarok promises to be a lot of fun...

Maybe that thing he killed in The Dark World wasn't Korg. Maybe it was his twin brother.

@TheNewGuy123 - Nah, Korg is just a common name on his planet. Like John and other names are here.
