Marvel surprised us all earlier this morning with a pretty damn awesome first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, and now they've just debuted the first theatrical poster for the Taika Waititi-directed threequel.

Though future posters will undoubtedly feature the entire cast, this initial one-sheet keeps things simply with a new glimpse of Chris Hemsworth as the freshly-shorn God of Thunder, helmet in hand.

In Marvel Studios' "Thor: Ragnarok," Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok - the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization - at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger - the Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theaters on November 4.

"Friend from Work" line disarmed us all! We were all expecting like "What!? Banner?? how??". What we actually got was 1000 times better, ROFL.

@ODanil - I actually heard "He's a friend from Earth"

"Friend from work" makes no sense to me. Why would Thor think of being on Earth as "work"?

As somebody who thought Thor 1 was okay and who didn't even care to watch Thor 2, this movie has 100% peaked my interest. Will definitely see it.
