THOR: RAGNAROK: Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Reveals New Jack Kirby Inspired Logo

Yesterday was the 100th birthday of legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed a new logo for the movie which clearly takes inspiration from the creator.

We already know that Thor: Ragnarok will be a "love letter" of sorts to the work of Jack Kirby and now a new logo has been revealed - taken directly from the movie, it seems - which clearly pays homage to the artist. The design is very much in line with what you'd expect from the time he spent working on the God of Thunder's adventures with Stan Lee and is quite a bit different to other logos we've seen.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released in November and it remains to be seen whether or not we'll get another trailer before then. After all, the Comic-Con preview spoiled a lot of big moments so it would almost be a shame for another trailer to find its way online featuring even more major reveals.

We'll have to wait and see on that front but it's fair to say that the threequel is shaping up to be something very special indeed. Previous Marvel movies have paid homage to Kirby's work but it seems appropriate that it will be Thor: Ragnarok which delivers on that front given the artist's incredible ability to bring alien worlds to life. What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts down below.

cannot wait... Hard for me to imagine all the content set to be in this film, with a small play time.

@CopperCrow - This again? The movie is 130 minutes why do people keep repeating the small runtime?

Yea, I get it.

It's in honor of Kirby (God rest his soul).

But.... It's also one of the ugliest CBM titles I've ever seen.

My God that's an ugly logo.

The first logo is far superior and more legible.

Don't like it. It looks cheap, very cheap. Is this made with Word? Can't wait for the movie, though! I think this is gonna be one o f Marvels best movies ever!

I wish more movies embrace the source material without feeling ashamed. No need to change if it is just for the sake of being "fresh" or "grounded" while losing essence of the characters and the stories in the process.

Aesthetically speaking, Kirby is definetely there, that's for sure.
I like the logo, but they could've changed the colors, not this mono shit, you know...and STILL keep the Kirby's essence.

Whatever, it's just a logo, when you watch the trailers, look at the art in the background... it's all Kirby, and a beautiful one! :)

Isn't it crazy that DC its doing a much better job paying tribute on kirby this year than marvel?
