Cartoon Network is Reviving THUNDERCATS For 2019, With Teen Titans Go!-Esque Results...

The beloved, cheesy 80's cartoon is being revived as "ThunderCats ROAR" for 2019 on Cartoon Network. The new style is definitely not gonna sit well with long-time fans, but kids on the other hand...

The last time we saw Lion-O & the gang in action was with the 2011 series that was unfortunately cancelled on a cliffhanger (Much like most good shows that are then replaced with inferior versions of themselves). But today, Warner Bros. have announced a brand-new series called ThunderCats ROAR!, & it will feature a radically-different take on the characters. Brace yourselves below...

It's...basically Teen Titans Go mixed with a little bit of O.K. KO! This is definitely not gonna bode well with everyone, as the trailer already has over 1.6k dislikes compared to it's 246 likes.

But, even with the comedic influence & the unfitting style change, WB & Cartoon Network are doing their best to assure that this will capture the spirit of the original cartoon.

Staying true to the premise of the original series, Lion-O & the ThunderCats- Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Wilykat, & Wilykit- barely escape the sudden destruction of their home world, Thundera, only to crash land on the mysterious & exotic planet of Third-Earth. Lion-O, the newly appointed Lord of the ThunderCats, attempts to lead the team as they make this planet their new home. A bizzare host of creatures & villains stand in their way, including the evil Mumm-Ra, Third Earth's wicked ruler who will let nothing, including the ThunderCats, stop his tyrannical reign over the planet.

ThunderCats Roar will claw it's way to Cartoon Network in 2019. The age of goofy reboots is upon us.

@IctyoSapien - The 2011-2012 Thundercats Series (RIP) had so much potential....My Goodness!!!!! I felt the same Emptiness when Cartoon Network canceled He-Man 2002-2004 (RIP). Toy sales??????? I know that's the usually MO but that series was about to introduce She-Ra....Wow!!!! Really Cartoon Network....

@Shazam - They should just wait for Voltron Legendary Defenders to end then bring back the 2011 series

@dracula - We can only Hope My Friend......I love Voltron Legendary Defenders. Netflix needs to pick these shows (He-Man 2002 & Thundercats 2011) back up and finish it. Young Justice is proof that it can happen. Very slim but possible. Man....What a waste!

@Shazam - Thundercats I can see happening, but He man, probably wouldnt happen, its been over a decade, but what we could get is a reboot after Voltron is overm and if thundercats was revived by the same producers, now that would be an awesome animated universe, Voltron Legendary Defenders, Thundercats (2011) and a new He Man series
