The mag have provided a look at the cover of their January issue, which features a pretty different looking Prime than we've seen in previous movies, as well as new shots of human stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz.

Be sure to pick up the new issue of Empire this Thursday for much more on the movie. Transformers: Age Of Extinction will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014.

Hmm. I kind of like it. Looks more solid, with recognisable parts, rather than the weird monstrosity we got in the last films. Nice.

Transformers 2007 is the best transformers i ever saw,
the rest was horse shit, i hope that bay can still pull this out.. on how he awe me from the first TF movie,

Not really. They're even talking a few of the characters on the military side of things from the first three maybe making an appearance. It's just focusing on a new set of human characters with a new overarching storyline setting up a new trilogy.

As this is supposedly Bay's final film (to get the new trilogy off on the right foot) they might reboot after this trilogy ends (providing Bay's departure doesn't implode ticket sales after this one).

Funny how they put a Bay Transformer movie on their "OSCARS SPECIAL" issue. Kind of like putting an image of a can of dog food on an fine dining magazine.

It looks different. When i thought this was going to be a reboot i thought the Transformers would not be secondary characters in there own film but it looks like they will be secondary characters in this film and the primary character will be a human.

That's disappointing.
I was behind the idea of the techno/organic look the bots had in the other three films. For a complex transformation, sure. Made sense.

Still, there's the iconography to consider, which this doesn't.


Though, I'm also thinking maybe this isn't how he looks the whole time.

He looks dark. They're trying to make him look cool, how Marvel changed Cyclops look to finally make him look cool (outside of AoA Cyclops).

I want to see him use that sword & shield a lot. They still gotta out do that forest scene from the 2nd movie.

You guys are the stupidest people I've seen on here. You complain as if you can make the robots look better than what they actually are, and they look pretty damn cool IMO. Transformers are great movies if people didn't like them, they wouldn't pay to see another one. They are amazing action blockbuster movies...I would like to see you try to make one as much as you guys complain. Anyway Optimus looks bad ass, lack of cooler maybe due to it being a non finished product
