Michael Bay gives a hint at Transformers 3

Are we getting even more robots? More Humans? Take a look!

The Los Angeles Times got to sit down with Michael Bay and discussed the past Transformers films and was able to get a bit of info from him regarding the next installment.

This from the article:
"So can we expect more thunderous sound in the third installment? Although the number of robots increased significantly from the first film for the second, the third film -- which will hit theaters in summer 2011, won’t be as robot-heavy and there will be fewer explosions, a tight-lipped Bay said after the Q+A.

'There will be a nice crescendo ending,' Bay said. “It gets much more into the robot character. The last time you kind of met a few of the robots; this time you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape.'"

Transformers 3 is set to release July 1, 2011.

it means the movie will suck like the last one, maybe even more cause bay is going to try to give depth to the characters which he is incapable of doing as a director.

'There will be a nice crescendo ending,'

Meaning we will go out with a bang? I wouldn't mind if this was the last movie. Especially if it is good.

My hope is that they find a good balance between the first two films. The first was a bit more stroy driven with a lack of action (what action there was included was amazing!) The second was all action but lacked in a really good story. Hope they can find a happy medium there somewhere.

I just hope that the third one actually gives some time and character development to the Transformers. If Bay is gonna make another 2+ hour movie, the least he could do is spend some time on the Autobots/Decepticons.

I dont trust Bay anymore,He said ROTF was gonna be more serious/darker.How are two twin sterotypical robots serious/darker.

The 3rd film is going to be like the last film Awesome fight scenes, crappy story, cool cars, and Hot Megan Fox.

I really hope Michael Bay has a better story this time and no more of those comedic robots that bothered the heck out of me last time. I like transformers but the 2nd really disappointed me. plz let the 3rd one be legit

" this time you’re gonna get a much cooler landscape.'"

I'd prefer a 'cooler' (solid) script.

“The artistry of this sound group is just amazing. I love, love sound. It’s 45-50% of the movies.”

Yet the movie industry survived its first 30 years without it! This guy blows enough smoke for everyone! LOL

great but i hope to see prowl, and some more devastator. get rid of the twins and focus on the others like bumblebee, ironhide, and the villains. i hate the twins.and why was the tank in transformers 1 devastator, then he dies, and in part 2 the robots come down from space and wala they are devastator? i hate holes in movies, and when they leave you hanging at the end for a sequel that never happens like x-3,and the hulk, i for one would love to see a sequel to both.

@1chris2@ they changed the tanks name at the last minute in the first movie it wasn't supposed to be devastator and I don't remember why they changed it..... also the ones that come down at the end of the second movie are clones or something like that it's not explained in the movie, you would have to read source material.... just like they don't explain that the transformer chick that looked human was an amusement park robot.

I really liked the first movie, the second one was alright, but not as good as it could've been. So I hope the 3 one makes up for it.

Ok guys quick question for all you experts... I just noticed the other day watching Transformers 2 again that in the middle of the autobots and under the camo netting on the back of the trailer was a blueish purple Chevy Cobalt I think...my question is what kind of car is it really and did we see that autobot in the movie? What is that autobots name? Thank you guys...

@WebSlinger- That was Jolt. It's a modified Chevy Volt, which is an electric hybrid that Chevy is releasing either the end of this year or early 2011. There wasn't much character development with him. He can be seen later on in the film towards the end. He gives a "jolt" to Optimus to help revive him.
