In my very first edition of "My Take," I have seen quite a few on-set pictures for the upcoming Transformers 3 film that is due out in Summer of 2011 here on ComicBookMovie.com, and I have taken it upon myself to assess a few select images.

Um...duh...this is Optimus Prime with his trailer finally attached!

Will Roller make an appearance in the third film now that is it quite obvious that the trailer will be in it?

I look at this picture and I am pretty certain that the Decepticon on the left is the third film's newest antagonist, Shockwave.

Shockwave only had one optic (eye) in the Generation One version of him and he did not have a mouth or any other major facial features just as the head on the left in this picture.

I'm going out on a limp with this one and say that this is Hot Rod/Rodimus. Just based off of the fact it is a red sports car, and Hot Rod/Rodimus was a red Cybertronian sports car in Generation One.

This could mean a passing of the Autobot torch from Optimus Prime to Hot Rod/Rodimus, or it could just mean that director Michael Bay is set to kill off another of my favorite Autobots since he has already done away with both Jazz and Jet Fire.

If this is Hot Rod/Rodimus, please do not kill him off too Bay because the more popluar Autobots you kill off, the more the fans will hate you even more than they already do.

Too bad many of the fans and myself will still go and see the third film because it is just too hard to resist seeing giant alien robots on the big screen.

true...
but when has Michael Bay EVER paid attention to color?
Ironhide was red in G1 but black in film.
Jetfire was red/white and yet he was also black ROTF.

what's to say, he won't combine elements of both Hot Rod and Hot Shot into one character?
blasphemy i know, but its something to think about....

Oh, I just hate that Monster Soundwave!

And they removed JOLT??

Give him more screen time, and just remove The Twins instead!

Hoping this be better though.

@ Gambit: I agree the best conclusion for the trilogy would have been a confrontation with Unicron. It would have been the only thing that would have allowed the human race to forgive the Transformers for bringing their war to our planet. You know, saving the world from something we would have absolutely no means of fighting ourselves. After all with the Fallen gone what reason could the Decepticons have left for wanting Earth... HA, oh wait. I'm actually trying to apply plot and logic to a Michael Bay movie! What was I thinking?!

Just my thought... If you have noticed Bay has not really stuck yo traditional G1 forms of vehicular modes. Look at Bumble-Bee. He was never a Camaro. So yes the red car could be Hotrod. It would be cool if he would become Rodimus Prime by the end of the movie.

Most likely would be Hot Rod.

He adds a huge character to the autobots, similiar to prime with a wonderful personality that people can relate to. His childish goal with the twins could of been achieved with sticky somewhat to the orgina lcharacter concepts.
