RICK AND MORTY May Get A Surprise Season 4 Mid-Season Premiere Announcement During The Super Bowl

Viewers of Rick and Morty are well aware of the erratic release schedule that the Adult Swim show has possessed in the past, and some are hoping the Super Bow 2020 Pringles ad will reveal its return.

Most people seem to agree that Season 4 of Rick and Morty is off to a strong start. Or at least it was until it reached episode five and it became hiatus time once more. Further frustrating fans is the fact that there wasn't even a mid-season premiere release date announced so no one has any idea as to when the show will be back.

With the series on hiatus and seemingly no hints as to when it is going to be released from the creators, fans are looking to the crossover promotion ad between Rick and Morty and Pringles for any possible hint at what's to come. A clip was released teasing the crossover, but they are expected to feature for at least one or two minutes during Superbowl 2020.

Back in 2017 there was no warning when Adult Swim decided to drop Season 3. Instead, the first episode played on April Fool's day over and over and then fans had to wait for the following episode for months. People watched it so much they got McDonald's to bring back the limited edition Mulan Schezwan Sauce for a limited time.

Since it is a Sunday, the normal day which Rick and Morty airs, its always possible that instead of an announcement, Adult Swim will have a surprise mid-season premiere, but nothing is known for certain until the game. There is even a theory that the Pringles ad is canon due to the remarks in the commercial, and that it will lead into the events of the next episode and possibly even offer a meta explanation for the extended hiatus between episodes 5 and 6.

Do you think we'll get an announcement during the Super Bowl as to when the show will return to Adult Swim? Check out the Rick and Morty Pringles ad ahead of super Bowl 2020 below along with the Season 4 trailer and let us know your thoughts in the comments?
