THE WALKING DEAD Season 9 First Look Leaks Online And Features A Ruined Washington D.C.

The Walking Dead season nine will mark the end of Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan's tenure in the AMC series and speculation is running rampant about how each of their characters will be written out of the show as the spotlight is shifted to Daryl instead. In the meantime, Fox Brazil Tweeted and deleted a first look at what comes next and you guys can check that out in the Instagram post below.

As you can see, Rick Grimes is rocking a beard and the action has been moved to Washington D.C. That's an area which has been referenced countless times in the TV show and comic books but we've never paid a visit there. While they were based in Ohio in the source material, there's a good chance that this could have something to do with the Commonwealth, a group introduced in season eight.

We should get some officially released artwork soon and the trailer will inevitably debut during Comic-Con as that always happens with The Walking Dead. What do you guys think of this leaked first look?

So disappointing how I've lost interest in this show. I just don't see how they can continue without Rick now that Carl is gone as well.

@Philvis - Agreed the show lost me during the final break this season. The last two seasons seem to just drag along to the point I just don't care anymore.

Why does this look so fake? Like someone photo-shopped it in just a few seconds?

"As you can see, Rick Grimes is rocking a beard"... Ummm, Rick has rocked a beard for most of the show so far.

Also, what the hell is up with Maggie's pregnancy? Did I miss something where she had a miscarriage or something? She hasn't even started showing yet.
