        A while ago rumors surfaced of the Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman leaving her role as Clara Oswald this Christmas, well while BBC won't comment Jenna Coleman will here is what she had to say : "We've sat down with ( showrunner ) Steven Moffat and  we've all decided we don't want anybody to know which way it's going. If you know I'm in the next series, or if you know I'm off, you'll know how the story ends."
   She also spoke about Clara and Danny Pink, who was introduced in the 2nd episode of the 8th series (or season if you live here in the states) 'Into the Dalek', she said "We do see Clara  beginning to fall for Danny. There's a big  surprise we've  got coming. It's much better than nobody  knows which way it's going to go, so that's  where we're trying to keep it at the moment."
So while she didn't exactly offer a straight foward answer she does say there have been talks. So what do you think? Would you like to see her leave this year or next year? Sound off below.

Karen Gillan is over at Marvel. So it only makes sense she's leaving to be Carol Farris and suit up as Star Sapphire on DC's side.

She can stay as a companion as long as she wants if you ask me. I think she's a hottie and I REALLY wish her pics were hacked and released when The Fappening happened. But oh well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Other than it being purely an actress' choice, there's not a whole lot of reason for Clara to leave the TARDIS crew. In fact, there's even more reasons why she should stay.

Some reasons include that she finally has a personality and that the Doctor practically begged her to stay. But the most important reason is:

Clara has become a Coal Hill School Teacher. The Doctor has become a grumpy old man once more. She has found a recurring love interest in Danny Pink, who instead of being saved up for one episode, he's being developed as a character in MANY episodes.
And Remember that girl that said "Do it" in Deep Breath? That was a character named Courtney. She's also seen in Episode 2, and will be a main character in a later episode as well.
Now put the cards together: 1 Old Doctor, 2 Coal Hill School Teachers, 1 rebellious student. Sound familiar?

Moffat seems to have plans to return to the original Doctor Who format in 1963 with the Doctor's new cycle. This is most likely the biggest clue that Clara will, and actually has to stay as the Doctor's 'carer'.

And to be honest, I don't know if Jenna Coleman should exactly leave yet, not a lot of opportunities seem clamoring for her just yet - especially since out of all the 2005 Doctor Who stars, only Karen Gillan has gone on to find a big American career so far. Matt's presence in Terminator only feels like stunt casting at the moment, but we'll see.

@Tech3099 Jenna revealed her breasts in a show called Room at the Top. Sometimes you know too much as a Doctor Who fan...

Clara is awesome, and honestly besides the appearance of the Victorian Crew (Vastra,Jenny,Strax), she is the only reason I still watch the show as I am not sold on the new Doctor yet.

@SKone

Really? Capaldi is crushing the role in my opinion. His doctor is becoming one of my favorites already.

Capaldi is definitely growing on me with each episode, but I really, really liked Matt Smith a lot (I know he couldn't be the Doctor forever). BBC also seems to have changed the shows' frame rate and it is very distracting to me.
