ARROW Season 7 Will See Oliver Queen Sport His Iconic Facial Hair Says Stephen Amell

Whether you want to call it a "van dyke" or just a "goatee," star Stephen Amell revealed that Oliver Queen's signature facial hair will arrive in Arrow season 7 at this past week's Motor City Comic Con.

The Arrow shorunners have revealed that the show's 7th season will kick off with Oliver Queen in prison. They've also revealed that it should be obvious that Ollie won't spend the entire season behind bars.  However, it sounds as if the time Oliver spends locked up might be enough for him to grow his comic book counterpart's signature facial hair.

"Just because you’ve been polite, and just because everyone has been so nice to me today, I can break some news for you and let you know that in Season Seven I am going to debut the goatee,” Amell told Motor City Comic Con attendees.  He added, "I can’t promise that I’m going to keep [the goatee] forever.  I can definitely promise that I’m not going to wear the stupid hat."

What did you think of Arrow's 6th season?  Many fans assumed that the show would end with its 5th season as the flashbacks recounting Oliver's time stranded on the island of Lian Yu would be completed.  Yet, the show isn't displaying any signs of slowing down and could very well surpass Smallville one day.

@MrBillCipher - Yeah haha he did say before they got to S5 around S4 I believe that he would show up on set resembling JLU's GA look. But as an actor he can only control so much, this seems more definitive.

@NinnesMBC - I really, really hope they simply adapt that Supermax script for the GA movie that almost got made. It was supposed to be a fantastic script and it never got made so this would be a perfect opportunity for that.

@Buckster10 - I agree, it'd be a bold move to give it a shot for at least 3 and a half episodes like they did with Barry's stay in prison. I think the only difficulty would be to divide the screentime in Oliver getting used to Super Max, making alliances and sometimes coming short in geting out etc with what is happening outside.

It'd be fun though if down the road of S7 Oliver and others now have to break IN again in Super Max for some reason. It'd be a cool twist and way to bring back the prison as long as they really make the prison live up to the hype.

This was the fourth best season of arrow. The first half was meh.

It’s best if they stick with Street level villains. Damian Darhk would have been better if he was on the flash.

Don't get me wrong, Marvel Netflix is often times a mess. But I just can't get into the Arrowverse shows. Most I've watched is the Flash and some time during/after Season 2 they lost me. I can only cringe so much before shutting it off. I could never take Arrow seriously in the first couple seasons and Legends seemed like a waste since I never got into the other shows that much. I couldn't get into Agents of Shield either but yall keep praising it so I guess I'll try again. TV is just really hard to pull off, the acting feels sooo fake. Again, it's a mess but quality-wise I think JJ, Daredevil and Punisher have come the closest to working for me.

@NicolausCopernicus - I think it is the idea the fandom has in mind since the title of the finale leaked. It has potential to resemble it at first in the start of the Season but for hype's sake it is better to take it easy and not get too excited either.
