M. Night Shyamalan's latest movie, Old, has proved to be just as divisive as the rest of the filmmaker's more recent work, receiving mixed reviews from critics and a seemingly more negative response again from audiences.
Actor John Barrowman (Arrow, Torchwood) clearly wasn't a fan, sending out a Tweet lambasting the film and calling it "utter shite."
Barrowman has faced a considerable amount of backlash for this... not because of his take on the movie, but because he tagged Shyamalan in the Tweet!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion (no matter how vitriolic), but tagging the director of a movie you're tearing to shreds is really unnecessary and just a bit of a douche move overall, so it's hardly surprising that the actor has come under so much fire for this little stunt.
Shyamalan hasn't responded, and to be honest, we hope he doesn't feel the need to.
Based on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters, Old follows a family who go on vacation to a mysterious, secluded beach, where they come to the realization that they are ageing at a rapid rate. You can check out the trailere here.
