Even though it sure looked as if Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen met his end at the hands of Matt Nable's Ra's Al Ghul (in Arrow s03e09 - The Climb"), everyone knows that the show won't continue without Amell. So the real question is just how soon will Oliver recover to renew his fight with Ra's and the League of Assassins? Your guess is as good as mine, but Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim says that while Oliver is recovering, Roy Harper (Haynes) steps up in a big way. "One of the things I was very straight with Colton [Haynes] about is I don’t think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the first half of [season 3]. I’ll say the stuff that he’s got in episodes 10, 11, and 12, it’s pretty dang gangbusters. There’s one scene in episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show."
If you've been looking for Roy to have a bigger role this season, tune in when Arrow returns on January 21. Incidentally, episode 10 is titled "Left Behind", episode 11 is titled "Midnight City" and 12 is titled "Uprising".
