Flashpoint Will Resurrect A Beloved Character For ARROW's Midseason Premiere

It appears that Flashpoint will have a much greater affect on Arrow than we anticipated. According to EP Wendy Mericle, a beloved character from Oliver Queen's past will be brought back from the dead. [SPOILERS]

Arrow fans can agree that the show's fourth season was an overall disappointment, especially when Katie Cassidy's beloved Black Canary was killed off just as the character finally found her footing in the show. However, from what we've seen so far from season 5, the show seems to be headed back in the right direction, and thanks to The Flash (Grant Gustin) meddling with the timeline, it looks like Laurel Lance isn't as dead as we thought.

In a recent interview with TVGuide.com, executive producer Wendy Mericle spoke about the effects of Flashpoint and how it will lead to the return of Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance. "I can tell you that we’re really excited about having her back," said Mericle. "You will see in the episodes where she appears – Episode 510 definitely, our midseason premiere. Keep your eyes out for that. We’re so excited about getting to work with her again and her willingness to come back. It’s one of the fun parts of the show. People can leave and get killed and you can still find new and crazy ways for them to come back. I can definitely tell you that there’s a way we’re going to bring her back and she’s going to be alive and well. And Flashpoint might have a little bit to do with that."

Fans can rejoice knowing that Katie Cassidy's Laurel Lance will be making her return in the Arrow's fifth midseason premiere, but will she be the same Laurel Lance that we've come to know and love? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place below.

I always thought Laurel was the problem with the show but until she died I realsied it was Felicity. They should have killed Felicity when she got shot in season 4. I'm glad they're bringing back Laurel but if you're going to kill a big character like that then commit. Especially when her death is what drove Oliver to beat Dhark.
