Oliver Breaks In His New Team In Promotional Stills From ARROW Season 5 Episode 2: "The Recruits"
Team Arrow is adding a few fresh faces this year, but judging by the latest batch of promotional stills for the upcoming season's second episode, they may not be quite ready for primetime just yet.
If being the Mayor of Star City wasn't enough of a challenge, Oliver's going to have his nights booked for the foreseeable future breaking in his new ragtag team of heroes.
Oliver's new Team Arrow will come together in episode two, titled "The Recruits," and will consist of Curtis Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific, Jack Wheeler a.k.a. Wild Dog, and Evelyn Sharp a.k.a. Artemis. Get your first look at the team as well as a few shots of Mayor Queen consulting his most trusted advisors below:
SUIT UP - Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow's training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver's initiation into the Bratva continues. James Bamford directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Beth Schwartz (#502).
Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as Speedy, Team Green Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity – but they’re no longer the only vigilantes in town. Green Arrow’s public defeat of Damien Darhk at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.
