Stephen Amell Talks CONSTANTINE, Chances Of BATMAN Coming To ARROW, And More

Stephen Amell appeared at Wizard World Chicago today, and had plenty to say about what's to come when he transforms into Green Arrow later this year. Confirming that he's already shot scenes with Matt Ryan for Constantine's appearance in Arrow season four, the actor had nothing but good things to say about working alongside the Welsh actor. "I've been filming scenes all week long with Matt Ryan," he told fans in attendance. "He is such a treat. And a trip. He's always saying his lines -- and he's getting ready to go on Broadway right now with Kiera Knightley, so he's always saying those lines, too. I can't tell if he's having a conversation with me, or preparing. And sometimes I chime in, he'll be like 'I wasn't talking to you, mate.'" It's going to be interesting to see if Ryan's new acting commitments stop him from making any future appearances in this corner of the DC Extended Universe, especially as there's been a lot of talk of this simply being a one-off. Now, what about Batman? Well more than just his villains might be coming to Star City.

Confirming that he's talked to DC Entertainment chief Diane Nelson about the chances of a character like Batman in Arrow, Amelll said that she told him that they want to make "the best version of each thing and not forcing crossovers just for the sake of forcing them." Admitting it would be "tough" to bring the Caped Crusader to Star City, he added: "In the same way that... [Ezra Miller's] playing the Flash in the cinematic universe -- theoretically, we haven't seen him yet -- I see no reason why we couldn't have our own Bruce Wayne. That's my opinion; that might not be DC's opinion, and their the bosses." As for bringing his Green Arrow to the big screen in one of the upcoming DC Extended Universe movies, he remains optimistic that it could happen, but sounds content doing what he's doing. "Whenever I talk to people, it's like, 'This is an evolving process.' And there's absolutely no contractual barriers and/or creative barriers between me and being in a movie, one of the DC movies." Can we please stop talking about merging the tv and movie universes? The TV show is on the CW and most of the actors can't act or the dialogue is pretty subpar.

Also, not going to happen under any circumstance. Part of me respects the CW stuff for at least being expansive and allowing themselves to sprawl into weirdness, but WB will do anything to protect the moneymaking credibility of their prize superhero. He's like a Disney child star that never grows up to disgrace themselves with a drug-fueled racist rant. A commodity like that is too precious to even let him near TV again.

David Boreanez would be a solid choice for CWtv's Bruce Wayne/Batman. Plus, he has history with WB. Who knows maybe they unite Boreanez and Whedon for a CWtv Batman series.

If he's gonna be starring with Keira Knightly,it's doubtful Ryan's commitment to Broadway would be longer
then a few months.

I think Constantine's appearance on Arrow will be a "One off" only in the sense it will likely be a Halloween
themed episode and his only one this season.

Nothing says that CW can't come up with steady work for Ryan on future seasons of Arrow,The Flash and LOT
if the ratings are good for this season's episode.

You guys are crazy if you think WB has ruled out doing something that marvel won't and can't do. That's have two or more variations of a character meet in a cinematic crossover. For the record the actors on the CW aren't bad. If you see them in other things they can act fine, it's all to do with the right direction. If you want proof a bad actor can be amazing in a film look at Adam Sandler in punch drunk love? Do i think they're setting up a multiverse film? No, but I seriously doubt they have ruled it out just yet. Also I do think we'll get at least another nod to Batman's existence before arrow ends, same with Green lantern. Probably for the 100 episode mark.

"If Amell, Guggenheim, Berlanti and the Arrow show were actually any good, Amell would'nt be looking for cheap ways and gimmicks to promote Arrow. A good show does not need a cameo of Bruce Wayne or the series lead doing WWE for attention. It earns attention through quality and from pleasing the audience with good entertainment. Arrow does none of that. It's low level TV that has never had a peak.

Going into it's 4th year Arrow has not had one single standout, breakthrough episode. It is flatlined and dead. As some have pointed out, Arrow is the least viewed superhero TV series of all time.

Amell simply cannot build a fanbase or an audience. He cannot act nor does he have the charisma to become well liked by the public. His acting and persona is no better than what you can find in some of the lowliest of fan made movies on You Tube. And unfortunately for Amell, there are some who do fanmade videos on You Tube who can act and have more dazzle than the charmless and procumbent deadbeat onscreen presence of Stephen Amell.

Notice as you watch his interviews that his Arrow airtime is as no dynamic as Amell being himself in an interview. His onscreen presence is no better than his little chats at cons or in interviews. I can't think of another "actor" who is so lackluster in roles as that their "acting" is no more exciting than their laid back interviews.

Amell has one setting: low. "

Stephen Amell is a fine actor, a super nice guy, a family man, and a charitable celebrity.

And the CWVerse is incredibly entertaining TV. I dont know about you guys but I love seeing my favoite superheroes on any kind of screen.

But you guys are still gonna spam your salty, jealoud, and ugly comments anyway. Wow, I've never seen a thread so completely taken over by jackass trolls before. Smh.......if all of you hate the CW shows so much, why put time into reading articles and commenting on them.

I love Arrow, and Flash too. Gustin is perfect as Flash, and I think WB will eventually regret the decision to not put him in their movies as Flash instead of Ezra Miller. I will say that I don't really want to see Ammell in a Justice League movie, but that's only because I have no desire to see Green Arrow as part of the Justice League. He just not an important enough character. But he is fine on the TV show.
