During the latest episode of Michael Rosenbaum's Inside of You Podcast, the show took an interesting turn when the former Smallville star asked Stephen Amell what he thought about The CW changing the name of The Arrowverse to The CWverse. The name change was something that surprised and angered fans, and it seems Amell is just as pissed off.
"They may be trying to call it The CWverse. That f&%$ing pissed me off. Honestly, I think that's probably a marketing department - frankly, trying to come up with content when they don't have any. Because I saw that ad for the first time [using that name] on the B-side of Comic-Con where all the shows would have footage and none of them do [due to COVID-19]."
Summing up his thoughts on the change, Amell stated, "I don't care if they stop calling it the Arrowverse but you don't need to come up with a new name. I don't know. F&%$!"
Amell is currently filming Heels, a wrestling drama for Starz that co-stars Alexander Ludwig. The two actors will play brothers in the wrestling profession - one heel, one face - and the behind-the-scenes drama centered around the two vying for control of their late father's wrestling promotion in Georgia.
