New GOTHAM Featurette Teases The Discovery Of The Batcave In Wayne Manor

Fox has today released a new Gotham featurette which focuses on Bruce and Alfred's discovery of "The Cave" at the end of season one. Actors David Mazouz and Sean Pertwee talk here about their excitement to delve into that and how they felt when they were told it would happen...

The stakes are higher than ever as Gotham explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uncovers more secrets from his father's past.

It seems a little early to introduce the Batcave, but as it's obviously going to be connected to Thomas Wayne in some way, the iconic location will obviously first be used as a way of further exploring his story. As a result, it could be some time before we should expect to see Bruce tinkering with the Batmobile down there! What do you guys think? Let us know below.

Damn, their taking even more away from Bruce Wayne

What's the point, the GCPD is already taking on Batman's rogues' gallery

I'm not a fan of this, even in Gotham Central the comic this is based on, Batman exists, they should really time jump or something

I'm with @DrKinsolving on this....I've only watched the pilot...

This just reminds me of 10 seasons of Smallville and we get the worst Superman reveal at the end....

They should've just stuck to Gotham Central storytelling....Batman would've been in the shadows...would've been way better and cool..

People on this site always equate box office to how successful a comic book movie is (you know who THEY are). Well in world of TV, ratings = movie box office. That being the case, "Gotham" is one of the most successful comic book TV shows in history! And, I'd bet that 95% of the people who say they hate "Gotham" watch it.

This kid hasn't even cried once since the first episode when his parents were killed. If I have to see a young Bruce Wayne on his show, I want to see the realism of a kid losing his parents. He should be sad, angry. They don't show any of of this. He sits in e same [frick]ing room every episode. He lives in a mansion! It's like fresh prince of bel air. They never showed any other rooms other than the living room and kitchen and yet they lived in a mansion lol

I think that this show isn't meant to be tied to the comics continuity in any way...
I also think that Thomas Wayne was a vigilant of sorts (grey ghost? Flashpoint style batman? Or Wayne of Gotham by Tracy Hickman style) ... And his antics and bad guy fightings will inspire lil Wayne(Bruce) to be the batman later...or they'll go the Wayne of Gotham route and have daddy Wayne sort of be the inadvertent creator of some super(ish) villians... Either way... I don't hate the show at all... It's entertaining enough and not as cheesy/cornball as other cbtv shows out (that I somehow enjoy slightly more?? Go figure).

That's me opinion people... Do what you'd like with it.!

Rape? Korean boys? Wha? Why-eee?

Why would this ire anyone? Bruce was ten when he found the Batcave, which Thomas already knew about and used. So he's actually behind schedule here according to the comics, not ahead of schedule.
@micvalpro
Bruce has cried a few times. And been angry many times. It's all appropriate.
