After a pretty stellar episode that featured a pretty sweet Smallville reference (as well as young Kara and young Alex solving their first heartbreaking case), next week's episode will shift the focus back to adult Kara as she makes a startling discovery in the National City harbor: Mon-El.

Yup, it looks like Mon-El was in the mysterious ship we saw last week, which means the other passengers may actually be the Legion of Superheroes and not additional Worldkillers.

Watch the new promo for episode seven, titled "Wake Up," below:

"Wake Up" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

CHAD LOWE RETURNS TO DIRECT; BETTY BUCKLEY GUEST STARS - When Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and the team discover an alien ship has crash landed deep underwater beneath National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is called in to investigate. Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) attempts to bond with his father, Myr'nn (guest star Carl Lumbly). Samantha (Odette Annable), eager for some understanding of the changes she has been experiencing, looks to her estranged mother, Patricia Arias (guest star Betty Buckley), for answers. Chad Lowe directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas and Anna Musky-Goldwyn. (#307). Original airdate 11/20/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

That Smallville reference...it could potentially change EVERYTHING about the CW universe. While it's more than likely just a huge Easter egg for longtime CW viewers, the thought of seeing Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum return would be awesome. It seemed like more than just a throwaway reference, though, considering that reference actually contributed to the plot.

That episode was amazing, those younger actresses were insanely good. The looks, the mannerisms, I couldn't believe what I was watching.

Also, Smallville F yea! Not the best time for that reference, but whatever, it's a character.
