After bringing its final season to a close last fall, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment have finally released Supergirl: The Sixth and Final Season on Blu-ray and DVD, featuring all twenty episodes from Kara Danvers' (Melissa Benoist) swan song in stunning 1080p.

In addition to the Sixth and Final Season combo pack, they've also released a Supergirl: The Complete Series Blu-ray box set, including all 126 episodes of the high-flying series and plenty of bonus features to keep fans entertained for countless hours to come.

The 4-disc Sixth and Final Season set contains four Blu-ray discs and includes a number of never-before-seen deleted scenes that help enhance your viewing experience as you relive Kara's last batch of small-screen adventures. While it's light on additional content, it does include the "A Farewell Tribute to Supergirl" panel, which offers some fun insight into the legacy of the series from Benoist and the main cast.

The Complete Series box set includes all previously released bonus content as well as the new season six material.

As an added bonus, just like Smallville: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray box set, both Supergirl: The Sixth and Final Season and Supergirl: The Complete Series sets include a one-time use only Digital HD code (redeemable on Vudu), offering fans the option to enjoy Kara's Kryptonian adventures with them on the go.

For six seasons, the perfectly-cast Melissa Benoist thrilled and inspired audiences of all ages across the globe. From the most humble of beginnings where she took on the likes of her aunt Astra, Livewire, and Maxwell Lord, to squaring off against the increasingly more powerful Queen Rhea, Reign, and Red Daughter, to taking down some of the most devastatingly dangerous villains in Agent Liberty, Nyxly, and the ultimate bad guy Lex Luthor.

Regardless of the evildoer, Kara Danvers always delivered, and always had time for ice cream.

She also had a chance to team up with her equally super-powered cousin Kal-El (Tyler Hoechlin), the Scarlet Speedster Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the rest of the Arrowverse on multiple occasions to save the world in exciting crossover events that helped spawn new relationships and the most excellent of spinoffs in Superman & Lois (a show we still hope Benoist will one day guest star on).

Celebrate Benoist's time in the cape and bid farewell to her beloved portrayal of the Girl of Steel with either of these two amazing home video collections - Supergirl: The Sixth and Final Season and Supergirl: The Complete Series - both of which bring her super journey to a fitting end.

First season is pretty bad, but the kind of bad that is still enjoyable to watch

Second Season was a big improvement

Third Season was another improvement but the behind the scenes drama seriously hurt the second half

Fourth season is when the show peaked, was strong for a majority of it, gave a great Lex, manchester black and agent liberty was a good villain.

fifth season was a majo step down

Season six.....thought about it after it ended but WHAT HAPPPENED?
You know all those exaggerated complaints people make about the older arrowverse shows, they all came true this season. It was understandable in the first half considering Melissa's pregnancy but the second half. Instead of actually building up a strong plot they spend episode after episode doing hot topic issues episodes and its heavy handed EVERY TIME. Seriously lex has this big plot going on in the future and its all off screen, what is terrible story telling. also the ending, they really couldnt come up with a better ending than ripping off the crappy justice league movies

@dracula - What happened behind the scenes in Season 3?

@dracula - What BTS drama? I kind of lost interest after the trip to Mars episode.

Also did Dean Cain ever pop up again? After having to run away?

@UnderBelly -

@MV081199 -

if i remember correctly andrew krisberg, the showrunner was fired because of allegations of sexual harrassment and sexism, half way through

nothing wrong with fireing him but they also threw out the plan for the second half and what they came up with to replace it really feels like they were pulling things out of their ass

@UnderBelly - No dean cain did not return, he had a falling out with the production over politics.

His character wasnt adressed until season 5, where he died off screen

@dracula - I could swear that his character was already dead when I read that they killed off screen in S5

@dracula - ah ok. Makes sense. I know he's quite outspoken when it comes to his politics but Cain always struck me as a nice guy. He has his opinions, sure! but he also seemed quite professional, so I wonder if it's deeper than that.

@UnderBelly - I directed Dean in a movie last year. One of the most genuinely nice, and most professional people I've ever worked with. Great guy.

@Red7Ent - Nice! sometimes it's good to hear from who's interacted with 1st hand rather than hearing it from 3rd parties.

I do wonder what happened BTS though. it doesn't make sense to bring him in, and just kill him off screen. if he wasn't available, ok cool then just leave that thread dangling until he is. Even if just for a zoom call on screen. lol

I don’t understand how comic books fans can like content like this when it’s basically a soap opera of days of our lives proportions but with superheroes. I’m not fond of Marvel Netflix shows much either but at least those stuck to the tone of the comics. This CW stuff is cringy af 🥷

@MisterDoctor217 - have you watched superman and lois or star girl?
Reeds2Much
Reeds2Much - 3/8/2022, 1:47 PM
@MisterDoctor217 - ... mostly because comic books themselves are basically soap operas but with superheroes? Love triangles, evil clones, betrayals, dead people coming back dramatically, surprise and long lost relationship connections.

And that's just the Summers' Family Tree.

I liked this show for two seasons then I got bored of it.
I wish they could just end the CW DC shows then reboot and restart with better writers that aim towards all comic book fans and instead of making 10 to 15 episodes of irrelevant side plots. I think 10 episodes of action and one focused plot point should be good.

supergirl basically gets no focus in the final 2 seasons, everyone else is getting stories with real character growth.

only real story she gets is being supergirl

@MV081199 - no. She was pregnant and had the baby in between last two seasons.
