TITANS Renewed For Season 4; PENNYWORTH Is Officially Moving To HBO Max For Season 3

There was definitely some good news for DC TV fans during DC FanDome last night as not only will Titans return to HBO Max for a season 4, but Pennyworth is set to move to the streaming service from Epix.

During DC FanDome yesterday, HBO Max announced that Titans has officially been renewed for a fourth season. The series follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. In season three, circumstances draw the characters to Gotham City, where they reunite with old friends and face new threats like Red Hood and Scarecrow.

With that news comes a first look at the Titans finale ahead of its release on Thursday, October 21.

In that, we get a fun nod to Batman's love life as Selina Kyle is namedropped; unfortunately, Titans has developed something of a habit of talking about well-known characters while failing to show them.

It was also confirmed that Epix series Pennyworth is returning for a third season; however, it's set to make the leap to HBO Max, with the first two season set to arrive on the platform starting in early 2022. We never really hear much from the show, but there's clearly an audience there, and it appears Warner Bros. Television wants to continue what is essentially a prequel to Gotham.

In Pennyworth, we follow Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier, who forms a security company in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), before he becomes Bruce Wayne’s father. Season three begins after a five-year time jump: the civil war is over, and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or worse – ushering in a new age of superheroes and supervillains.

Check out the first look at Titans' season 3 finale below:

This is show is very frustrating. Also I get that there’s a budget but dang can beast boy at least change into a different animal from time to time? And not be the tiger?

Is season 3 already a step up from earlier seasons? Otherwise I don't feel like watching it (and by extent also don't care for a renewal).

Also, Pennyworth's still a thing? Didn't expect that

@bkmeijer - first three episodes were great but wow… by far worse season imo. The choice to make scarecrow the main villain is mind boggling. Editing is laughable and the score is irritating - very cw-ish. I really am puzzled as to why they keep fumbling with such good characters to use.

Damn there’s an Alfred prequel? Gee gimme Thomas Wayne as a kid in nursery - The tv show next. DC has a bunch of clowns running the show over there.

Pennyworth, lol. Someone legit went to WB and said, "I wanna make an Alfred show", and an executive replied...

Another season of borderline blue-screen-Bat-family drama.

Pennyworth moving to HBOMAX won't mean it will gain more viewers.

@TheShape9859 - Don't know why people are even watching it.when I think of Batman related characters I want to see as a show. Alfred is never at the top of my list.

Titans is really a frustrating show, everytime I have a little bit of hope they could make a good show they just throw it off and do shitty things. Titans is like the MOST-CW-SHOW in HBO Max - and this is weird AF.

I'm so over the Titans, they are nothing like the comics, hell even the cartoon is better than this crap. They have no team dynamics, they barely save ppl or act like heroes, and they have serious trust issues with each other. Only time I remember to watch it is when there's a random review about the latest episode I happen to scroll pass.
