GAME OF THRONES: Check Out Some Official Stills From The Season 7 Finale; "The Dragon And The Wolf"

HBO has released a batch of promotional images for this Sunday's extra-long season 7 finale of Game of Thrones, which we know know will be titled "The Dragon and the Wolf". Check 'em out after the jump...

On this Sunday's season finale of Game of Thrones, Jon, Dany and their combined forces will make their way to King's Landing in order to attempt to convince Queen Cersei to join their fight against The Night King and his undead army.

Something tells me things aren't going to go quite according to plan.

HBO has now debuted a batch of promo stills from the near feature-length episode, and they spotlight the likes of Sansa, Bran, Theon, and Bronn. We also see Cersei and Jaime Lannister in the middle of what looks to be a pretty heated conversation.

Will the Queen and her lover/brother have a difference of opinion over how to proceed after the events of The Dragon Pit, perhaps?

I think Sansa will die.
If not in this season's finale, then in the next season.
Littlefinger too.

@Doomsday8888 - All will die, only one leader can stop all the squabbling and war.

Polaris

@Doomsday8888 - I think she'll survive and rule the North after the war, because a Stark should and Bran and Arya clearly won't
RancidBane

@EvilCipher - did you see the theory that Bran is the nightking? It isn't horrible when you read the whole fan theory.
CaptainElrond
CaptainElrond - 8/23/2017, 7:25 AM
@RancidBane - I dont really watch the show, i plan on comepleting it from start to finish soon. Howevor it would tragic if it is bran and a big enough twist to shock the world. Also it would explain why the night king is one step ahead all the time.
TheAcuario
TheAcuario - 8/23/2017, 7:32 AM
@RancidBane - it makes sense that Bran is the Nights King which is why they both have a strong conneection
RancidBane
RancidBane - 8/23/2017, 7:42 AM
@TheAcuario - their strong connection and why he holds back against John. He never kills John when he has the opportunity. Maybe he is locked into a time loop and is hoping John can change the outcome. Who knows.

L0RDbuckethead - 8/23/2017, 8:54 AM
@RancidBane - I think you're on to something here. I really think he warged or will warg into the Night King and get stuck, showing and endless time loop a la Hodor from a few seasons ago...
TheAcuario
TheAcuario - 8/23/2017, 10:16 AM
@L0RDbuckethead @RancidBane - exactly while also completing his prophecy that he will fly high,
RancidBane
RancidBane - 8/23/2017, 10:36 AM
@TheAcuario - yeah true. My theory is either he is indeed the Night King and will ride the newly zombified dragon or he will end up warging either Drogon or the other one. Either way he fulfils the prophecy.

Every season, a King has died.

Who's next?
Asturgis

@TheSoulEater - Sansa with any hope.

Everybody eventually fights the whitewalkers and pretty much everybody dies... and Littlefinger sits on the Iron Throne for the series finale. You heard it here first.
Chameleon

@Kman - I think you will be retracting that after the next episode lol
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:19 AM
@Chameleon - Id be ok with that lol
CUAD
CUAD - 8/23/2017, 7:15 AM
Spoiler: Bran is the Night's King.

Tries to go back in time to warn about the white walkers. Tell's the Mad King to "Burn them all." Attempt fails.

Goes back further to help build the wall but is trapped in the past and becomes the Night's King.

The end.
Polaris
Polaris - 8/23/2017, 7:21 AM
@CUAD - that theory doesn't make sense to me, plus the mad king didn't start shouting burn them all suddenly one day, he became paranoid slowly
CUAD
CUAD - 8/23/2017, 7:27 AM
@Polaris - Becomes paranoid because he keeps hearing Bran's voice just like Ned heard him at the tower call out "Father!" last season. It also explains why The Night's king tried killing him and the children of the forrest. to prevent it all
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:31 AM
@CUAD - But didn't they show us the creation of the Night King? It was already somebody else I thought...

Chameleon
Chameleon - 8/23/2017, 7:33 AM
@Kman - in fairness, that could easily be Bran in 20 years time somehow
Spider2YBanana
Spider2YBanana - 8/23/2017, 7:33 AM
@Kman - jai Courtney is the night king lol
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:36 AM
@Chameleon - But could that character walk...? I don't 100% remember, but I feel like he was walking.
JonesTheCat
JonesTheCat - 8/23/2017, 7:36 AM
@CUAD - we saw the children turn that guy into the night king and the same actor still plays him. so that theory is shit. Bran could be Bran the builder but we'll see.
HeyZeusKreesto
HeyZeusKreesto - 8/23/2017, 7:37 AM
@Kman - The theory is that Bran warged into that man in an attempt to stop the Children of the Forest from creating the Night King after failing to stop the White Walkers in his previous excursions to the past. He went too far back or stayed too long and got trapped as the Night King. I don't really buy it, but that's the theory.
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:38 AM
@HeyZeusKreesto - seems a little too far fetched to me... But fun to speculate about
Chameleon
Chameleon - 8/23/2017, 7:41 AM
@Kman - Just rewatched it on youtube, you only see him when tied to the rock
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:42 AM
@Chameleon - yea I watched the same thing... but is that the only time we saw him? Id have to rewatch that entire episode to be sure.
Polaris
Polaris - 8/23/2017, 7:43 AM
@CUAD - so Bran tells him to burn them all and he starts to think the nobles and his son want to depose him? why? it all started because the people respected Tywin more than him, there's no mystery there.

I believe the NK is a greenseer, but not Bran (he may even be a Stark of Winterfell the children turned into the first WW). You say he wants to prevent it all, you mean the king going mad? the war? so he's marching with an army and killing inocent people to prevent war?
Chameleon
Chameleon - 8/23/2017, 7:44 AM
@Kman - I rewatched that epiaode when i rewatched just before S7 aired, as far as incan remember its all you see of him
CaptainElrond
CaptainElrond - 8/23/2017, 7:46 AM
"so he's marching with an army and killing inocent people to prevent war?"

If the night king wins, then there is no more war, just sayinng.
Kman
Kman - 8/23/2017, 7:46 AM
@Chameleon - only an entire year before we know the truth lol
BlackHulk
BlackHulk - 8/23/2017, 7:48 AM
@Kman - That could be an adult version of Bran
kylo0607
kylo0607 - 8/23/2017, 7:58 AM
@Kman - Or 2 for all we know...
CUAD
CUAD - 8/23/2017, 8:30 AM
@Polaris - Its a bad loop Bran starts unintentionally. The NK wants to prevent the war by killing himself before he goes back. Thats the Night Kings motivation, which hasn't been revealed: to stop the loop before it starts. Almost succeeded once but was stopped by Hodor.
