According to Deadline, the online media service site, Hulu is developing a new series based on the widely popular 90's PC game, Myst.  The series, which is being reported as a mix of science fiction and fantasy, will follow a man who wakes on the island with no knowledge of where he is or how he came to be there.  As he investigates the mystery of Myst, he will uncover the origins of the enigmatic island.  The series is being produced by The Amazing Spiderman and The Sinister Six producer Matt Tolmach and Divergent writer Evan Daugherty and Lauren Whitney, Peter Johnson, and Cory Lanier of Legendary TV.  Myst developer Cyan Worlds will also be involved in the project.

As a child of the 80's and early 90's, I remember how exciting it was to play the hugely popular puzzle game. So will nostalgia resurrect a property 20 years past its prime? Or are we looking at another Lost with less success before it joins the annals of mediocrity? Leave your thoughts in the usual place.

I like this - sounds like something I'd watch. The story of Myst, the epic of Atrius and his family, was actually pretty cool. The story of the games was pretty slow-paced, since 70% of your time was spent exploring and solving puzzles. If that other 30% was placed into a more compelling format and fleshed out, it could be a truly epic tale.
