Collider recently caught up with Captain America: The Winter Soldier screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to quiz them about the planned Agent Carter TV series. Highlights from the interview include the fact that ABC has the script for the pilot but haven't given it the green light as of yet, Howard Stark is a recurring character in the series and that it would start in 1946 (somewhere around the middle of the Agent Carter One Shot rather than before or after). Interestingly, the plan is for it to have a 13-episode season rather than the standard 22 or 24 episodes given to most network shows. Be sure to check out the interview above for all the details.

They're making an Agent Carters show? I'd watch Agent Carters.

A backdoor pilot on AoS is the most likely scenario. Some sort of cross-temporal parallel storyline.

My question is who would the villains on AC be? For that matter, who would be the superhero cameos? Sif? The Warriors Three?

On another note, it would be great to see Tommy Lee Jones as Phillips again. His CA:TFA lines (by Joss Whedon, of course) were a highlight.

13 episodes should be more than sufficient. To be honest I'm more interested in the Netflix shows.

I'd watch it. A period piece, no superheroes to muddy the waters (will they/won't they show up? No, they won't, period. Sorted). Just as a character piece with the focus on Peggy as a very capable woman in a very male-dominated world with her investigating and bringing down some larger than life villain and you've got something very different and potentially interesting.

Make it so.

I can't wait for this show! It's not unusual for only 13-15 episodes to be ordered for a TV series when it first starts out.

If the series is a success, expect more episodes to be ordered for a season. That's the way it works.

Did anybody else watch the Ian Fleming mini-series with Dominic Cooper? The guy knocked it out of the park. He is an incredibly talented actor.

There's no show yet, people. There's a script for a pilot that hasn't been green lit yet. That's still like six steps away from being an actual tv show.

@TheRealRemyLebeau I just wish the series would've been longer. Yah, I really enjoyed the Agent Carter one-shot. That is my favorite one to date.

I'm hoping Marvel Studios has a Ms. Marvel movie planned for Phase 3.
