Tara Butters Talks AGENT CARTER; Reveals PEGGY's Superpower
Tara Butters (one of the creator of Agent Carter) talks how it felt working on Marvel's first female project, and she dishes on Peggy Carter's "superpower" and why Peggy is able to take advantage of it. Hit the jump to check it out!
While sitting down with Time, Tara Butters talked how Peggy Carter has proved herself as an individual to all the people in that time who believes in 'sexism'. "As must as it’s all very time-appropriate, it would kind of grate on you if every week you saw these men not realizing Peggy’s potential." She then continues, "You definitely see her prove herself to these people and see her relationship with each and every man change and grow in different ways."
Tara then talks about Peggy's Superpower and how she uses it to her advantage, "Her superpower is that people underestimate her, and she uses that to her advantage." She then adds, "People think it doesn’t matter what you say in front of her because she’s just a girl, and as much as that may rankle her, she uses it to come out on top.” Talk about it, the last person who tried to play Peggy because "she was just a girl" ending up like this:
