THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, LOKI, And HAWKEYE All Preparing To Resume Shooting In Atlanta

There may be some good news for the Marvel Studios TV shows coming to Disney+, as it's being reported that crews in Atlanta are gearing up to resume work on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and more...

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was supposed to debut on Disney+ this month, but with the series in an unfinished state thanks to COVID-19, that wasn't possible. We don't know whether WandaVision will face similar delays, but it seems likely all these shows will ultimately be shuffled back.

There is some good news today, however, as Murphy's Multiverse is reporting that crew members have returned to work in Atlanta this week to "begin preparation for the resumption (or in some cases the beginning) of filming."

The site adds: "Crews for The Falcon and The Winter Solider, Loki and Hawkeye moved back into town and got the ball rolling again on the three upcoming Marvel Studios Disney Plus streaming series, joining the crew for the Untitled Spider-Man Sequel, which had previously begun prep work."

As for WandaVision, it's said that they still have work to complete in Los Angeles, and with things still looking bleak there thanks to the pandemic, Marvel Studios may be forced to make some changes.

For The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye, this is very good news, and the sooner filming resumes (or starts) on these Disney+ TV shows, the sooner we'll get to see them. Safety is obviously going to have to be a priority for Marvel Studios, but that streaming service needs new content if it's to hold on to its subscribers.

We'll hopefully have a more concrete update for you soon.

Last I heard was that FatWS only needed like 3 weeks of shooting in Prague(I think) to completely be finish with shooting, before the shutdowns started hitting.

If so, hopefully they can get things done so they can still try to release it this year.

OT: tried the avengers game beta and its... alright. Don't think i'll end up getting it, the thing that ruins it for me is the visuals. It's technically solid, visually, but the artsyle is just too messy and everything just blends together making it really hard to make anything out especially in combat/tight spaces.

Haven’t played it yet but I figured I wouldn’t purchase it until it was on sale.

Definitely not spending $60 for it.

@regularmovieguy - Yeah that's probably for the best, especially if there's gonna be more content down the line.

Anyways, as good of a time as any to plug a good game to play instead:

Falcon and the Winter Solider was like 90% Complete

That would give them 4 Months to finish for a
December 2020 Release date

Black Widow in November
F&WS in December

What a way to end the year for the MCU

@WakandaTech -
No way is Black Widow releasing theatrically. Europe is in Second Wave, China has the bubonic plague and Covid. US is just doomed

Let's see a coked up Hawkeye screaming at Kate Bishop and shooting arrows into the ceiling with a baby in the house. Let fiction mirror reality.

I thought there was only “a week” of filming left.

@PantherKing - Maybe they're filming a cameo or doing pickup shots considering they now have the time. Maybe they even built some of the sets in Atlanta that they already built in Prague so that they can finish sooner. They likely have a projected release date they want to meet behind the scenes considering they have to spread out their big shows, so for example, not overlapping with The Mandalorian is a big thing for them, but I imagine they're going to be released very close together.

Between this and getting to play the Avengers beta early, we might be able to cut into this lead in the 4th quarter

OT: I'm kind of hoping they just delay Black Widow and try to get the Disney Plus shows moving along nicely. I genuinely don't mind waiting 3 extra months so long as we're given some sort of big budgeted MCU content(so AOS doesn't count). Plus some of the movies shooting right now might be on a crunch to meet their deadlines, like Shang-Chi, so I don't see harm in giving the productions more time to breathe.

Hopefully The Falcon And Winter Soldier actually debuts in November, this is the one show I've been anticipating all year this pandemic has ruined a lot of things this year.
