THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER: Marvel Studios Releases Final Poster Featuring The New Captain America

Following the events of Friday's episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios has released one final character poster that puts the spotlight squarely on the MCU's new Captain America...

What a difference two years makes, eh?

Believe it or not, it's been exactly that long since we saw Steve Rogers pass the mantle to Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame. Six episodes of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier later, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially has a new Captain America.

There are already plans in place for a Captain America 4 movie, though the closing moments of the Disney+ series teased an eventual season two titled Captain America and The Winter Soldier (well, that's one theory; we'd be willing to bet that will be the title of the big screen follow-up).

Now, Marvel Studios has released one final character poster for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier that shows Anthony Mackie's MCU hero suited-up in his awesome new costume. This is a sight we'll be getting used to over the next few years, and we can't wait to see where Sam's story goes next. On social media, #SamWilsonIsCaptainAmerica was trending almost all weekend.

A gallery of official stills featuring the new Cap have also been released (see them here), and we're expecting to have some fresh merchandise featuring the hero to share with you later today.

In our full review of the first season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we concluded by saying "Inconsistent storytelling and weak lead villains aside, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a hard-hitting and action-packed new chapter in the MCU mythos which delivers an insightful and impactful exploration of what it means for a Black man to be Captain America."

Here's the final character poster for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier:

This pretty much perfectly sums up this show for me.

In some of the *big* moment shots it has a bit of a baggy look to it, but when it's shot like this and even in the CG moments it's top tier MCU material

Wheres Lemar's poster? He had more time in the show than Zemo, Cárter and the Dora Milaje and he aint got one. #JusticeforLemar

@Dannywest - Did he? I feel like he was only actually in like 5 scenes.

@Dannywest - I really liked Lemar, he was a great character and served as Walker's moral backbone. His death made Walker's actions feel a lot more understandable (not justified, mind you. But I got it).

Liked the series a lot, didn't love it like Wandavision but had SO much fun with it.
Ultimately I can echo some critcicisms: Sam's protection of Karli was justified until she started murdering without remorse. It made his final speech have a little less impact that it should have.
Overall I'm glad the series was made and offered so much buildup for the future.

Excited to see this continue into Captain America 4 with Sam in the new role, although I'm still holding out hope that Steve will return in some shape or form (not as Cap though)

MoButtaz6 is the definition of a MARVEL fanboy. Truly pathetic. He's one of those who cries when someone bad mouths Marvel.
