In yesterday's episode of Hawkeye, Florence Pugh reprised the role of Yelena Belova for an awesome rooftop battle. Black Widow's post-credits scene hinted that she would appear in the Disney+ series, while a recent promo even offered a first look at the masked assassin.
Despite that, some fans will cry about spoilers at every and any opportunity, which proved to be the case after Pugh posted a couple of screenshots from the episode to her Instagram account. Clearly excited about her MCU return, the actress just wanted to celebrate her Hawkeye role, but it seems enough people reported it for Pugh to be blocked from posting through her account.
Sharing a brief statement through her Instagram Stories, the actress later said: "I never thought me posting love about a show in which I appear on would get taken down..but here we are. Someone on here complained so I've been blocked from posting my own appearance on a show that I'm very much in."
"Beyond ridiculous," Pugh added. "Being in #Hawkeye is a privilege and thank you to all who welcomed me on set and off and all who are watching."
People on the internet have become far too sensitive to spoilers in recent years, with complaints about everything from trailers to casting news and even any mentions of cameos or specific moments weeks or months after a movie is released. Although Pugh did share these screenshots quite soon after the latest episode of Hawkeye hit Disney+, why scroll through social media if you're making a deliberate effort to avoid having anything spoiled in advance?
