Vin Diesel Thinks Marvel Is Making A Mistake Not Bringing THE INUHUMANS To The Big Screen

Vin Diesel has been campaigning for the role of Black Bolt for some time now, so it probably won't surprise you to learn that he's not too happy about The Inhumans becoming a TV series instead of a film!

We may never know the real reason why Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige decided against making The Inhumans, though it's widely believed that it has something to do with the rift between him and Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac Perlmutter. The property is still heading to the biggest of big screens as IMAX look set to premiere the first two episodes, but these characters will now live on television.

Someone unhappy about that is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Vin Diesel, and the actor - who has frequently campaigned for the role of Black Bolt - had this to say about Marvel's apparent mistake.

"I don’t think Marvel should abandon their opportunity to make a film out of it," he said. "I think it could be a huge, huge saga, and if I had more time I would go over to Marvel and have that very conversation. But I think it would be a big mistake for Marvel to abandon their ambitions or their objective or their goals of making it into a film because it would make such a cool universe."

The Inhumans has a showrunner and director, so chances are no one at the company is going to listen to Diesel's pleas to make it a movie instead of an eight-part series on ABC. The actor could get his wish to play Black Bolt, but that would require taking a serious pay cut, so it seems unlikely. Still, a big name taking on the role would certainly help bring more eyes to the project. What do you guys think?

Real reason: he doesn't get enough money if he would go to television to play Black Bolt.2

The only reservations I have for Inhumans on television is the cgi. Look at game of thrones, a fantastic show, but the cgi is still noticeable and wouldnt be deemed good on the big screen.

I think the major cgi problem is going to be medusas hair, not only will it have to look photorealistic, but it will have to do intercate movements, every strand will have to be seen.

Futhermore this isnt a show like daredevil or jessica jones were they can film in a real city, Attilan has to be fully created taking more of the cgi budget.

@StormXmen123 - Besides Medusa's head, I also think on what challenge could be to bring to life Lockjaw. ABC so far has only animated at the very least just the head of some characters like Hive and Ghost Rider, but a full CGI support pet-creature?

@NinnesMBC - That is an issue, but with lockjaw he would be fully cgi (hence easier to accept him when veiwing), with Medusa it would be a live actor with CGI hair.

If the cgi is photorealistic on her hair we will see the stark difference between her face and hair, which would distract form her performance.

With Lockjaw he will undoubtfully look cgi (Look at Groot and Rocket they still look cgi even though its great) but it wont be as distracting.

@StormXmen123 - I meant to say that Lockjaw would be their first ever full CGI character that ABC brings to life in a Marvel show. That must present a huge challenge because so far they've only done it with body parts, most noticeable the heads of those examples. (Ghost Rider & Hive)

It is true what you say regarding Medusa though.

Diesel has just expressed what half of the MCU fandom still feels ever since this was announced. There are pros to an Inhumans TV show and also cons.

Maybe if it was on Netflix then perhaps there wouldn't be such a mixed to positive reaction.

@Cedrichouse94 - Hey, I was only making a hypothetical suggestion, not exactly vouching for it.
