JESSICA JONES Discovers Some Very Disturbing Things About Her Past In This Full Season 2 Trailer

Netflix has debuted the full trailer for the upcoming second season of Marvel's Jessica Jones, and it provides us with a better idea of what to expect when our hard-drinking heroine returns to action on March 8.

It looks like Jones is going to discover some surprising things about her past and how she gained her powers, and they don't sound good at all. Is it possible that Kilgrave was a part of the same experiment that gave Jessica her abilities? The footage appears to hint at that, but we never get a proper look at this "monster" that's rampaging through the streets of New York so it might well be misdirection.

There's also a mention of a sidekick. Could we see Patsy suit up as Hellcat to help out her best friend, perhaps?

Check out the trailer and a new poster below, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.

"Do you know Captain America?"

Finally another proper MCU reference in the Netflix shows.

@IronMandarin - I think that they should have stuck to more of what they did with Daredevil in terms of references. Let's face it, the odds are pretty slim for the Netflix characters to even cross paths with the Avengers. So why not have references that can be interpreted in a way where you can still say they're in their own universe?

@IronMandarin - They've named dropped Tony Stark in Luke Cage and Captain America in Daredevil so it's not the first time.

@MrDandy - I know, but there was hardly any references in the Defenders or the Punisher (aside from small connections like the newspaper from Avengers 1). So I was starting to wonder if they had abandoned the references to the MCU.

@Origame - The way I've always seen it as everything that happens in the Netflix shows is so low profile compared to the rest of the MCU that none of the Avengers would give a shit about what's going on with the Defenders.

Honestly the most public event that happened in the Netflix show was when there was an earthquake in New York and a building collapsed into the earth. That's relatively small fry in a world where new superheroes are emerging constantly and cities get dropped from the sky. Even just in New York alone there are bigger scale battles where planes crash into Coney Island and ferries get split in half.

So I'm fine with the level of references they're operating with currently as long as it makes sense in-universe.

@IronMandarin - Except there's Stark Tower right in New York and no doubt Stark Industries does business with Rand, meaning Stark probably could have been made aware of all that business with the Hand. And of course there's Spider-Man who's so small he's helping old ladies getting robbed on the streets who also lives in New York. At this point, the universe is flat out too expansive for there not to be any significant cross over. Heck, from what I heard, Black Panther is going to end with Wakanda bringing their technology to the outside world. So all those shows need to start looking futuristic in order to make sense in the MCU, and I have doubts those gritty shows will go that far.

@Origame - Barely anyone knew about the Hand's existence let alone what they were doing. And even if they were doing business with Rand, Tony Stark didn't even care enough to do anything about the Vulture because he thought it was below the Avengers pay grade. If he didn't care about an actual public threat that involved Avengers tech being stolen, he wouldn't even think twice about a group of magic ninjas in New York.

Also no Black Panther spoilers pls

@IronMandarin - One guy stealing stuff doesn't equate to an evil organization taking control of a major corporation. After what happened at the end of Iron Fist Tony should have been looking into what was going on just from the perspective of the head of another company.

And I'm sorry. That was with the end credit scene and the article I read it on didn't include a spoiler warning, so I didn't think it would be a big deal.

@Origame - Stark not caring about the Vulture though does speak to his character flaws though. I mean yes realistically Tony should investigate and intervene, but he's a futurist who only really seems to care about the larger scale problems like the Accords or the next alien invasion so I doubt he'd care about what's happening in New York.

Also u are forgiven :)

@IronMandarin - So the ninja equivalent of Hydra taking over at least one international corporation (one that we know of) doesn't count as a large scale problem? And again, there's Spider-Man who would definitely care about what's going on in New York. Not to mention that Stark would probably investigate the earthquake just to see if it wasn't something with aliens again. And by that point, he would have just intervened anyway.
