The second season of Marvel's
Jessica Jones will premiere on
Netflix on March 8th. The show's lead, Krysten Ritter recently sat down with
Collider and discussed a multitude of topics relating to the show. The majority of questions centred around Season 2 spoilers, so if you check out their interview be aware. Don't worry; the following questions and answers won't be spoiling anything.
At one point Ritter is asked what she's most excited for fans to see in Season 2:
I know that I'm excited for them to see Jessica again. I like the show. I like the character. I like what she represents. I've loved her from the first day that I read the script. What surprised me the most was how much other people also loved her. I keep my blinders on and look at the work in front of me. I was only thinking about making my part really great and shoving my whole self into every detail. But then, you're like, 'Oh, right, it's gonna come out and other people are gonna see it,' and that's terrifying.
She then went on to talk about the positive response to the first season:
I never think about that when I'm doing the work. When it came out and was well-received, and people really liked it and liked Jessica, and they dress up like her and quote her, it's so amazing. I'm hoping that we don't disappoint our fans and that they're just as excited to see her return as I am.
And when asked whether she's signed on for Season 3 of Jessica Jones or Season 2 of The Defenders, Ritter had this to say:
I can’t answer that question. But, good try!
She also teased that the second season will be much darker than the first, a statement which holds some weight when considering that season 1 was already on the darker side.
Are you excited for the release of Jessica Jones Season 2? It's only 2 days away.
