Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has long been rumoured for some sort of MCU return, with the prevailing opinion online being that we'll see the actress in both Echo and Daredevil: Born Again.
The latter is probably the likelier of the two upcoming Disney+ TV shows, but after the disappointing second and third seasons of her solo series, we'd love the actress to get another chance courtesy of Marvel Studios. The majority of fans want it to happen as well, and if we're eventually getting a new Luke Cage (Mike Colter doesn't seem overly interested in returning), then Jessica being part of his life is a must.
Talking to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast, Ritter made it clear that she's definitely open to joining the MCU.
"I have no idea; I hope so! I think that people love Jessica; I know because I live it," she responded when asked if Jessica has a future on our screens. "Marvel is so secretive - I am just putting that out there that, of course, I would be there in a second. I would have my boots and jacket ready to rock."
If the actress is coming back, then she's obviously not going to spill the beans here.
Taking Ritter at her word, though, and it appears she's still waiting to get that call from Marvel Studios. It would be a shame for her to be overlooked when both Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal are returning as their respective Defenders, though we can't discount the possibility the MCU has other plans for the P.I.
We'll have to wait and see, but if a return is on the cards, we're guessing it will be kept as secretive as Cox's Daredevil cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
