In Loki's fifth episode, Throg, Frog of Thunder, had a blink-and-you'd-miss-it cameo as he attempted to escape from a jar to reach Mjolnir. One of the God of Mischief's Variants had clearly locked him in there, but we'd later learn that the character was supposed to have a larger role in the series.
Thor mentioned his brother transforming him into a frog during Thor: Ragnarok, and Loki director Kate Herron has revealed that we were actually going to see that happen during Mobius' interrogation in the TVA.
It was cut for being too humorous, but would have shown "Throg" humiliating Loki by delivering a beating to the God of Mischief after his latest attempt to steal the throne of Asgard from him. Now, thanks to Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development, Ryan Meinerding, a detailed look at Throg has been revealed...and it's nothing short of glorious!
As you can see, he's very comic accurate, and we can't help but be disappointed this didn't make it into the final cut of the premiere. Hopefully, Marvel Studios will release that deleted scene somewhere down the line, though it's possible the Frog of Thunder will factor into Loki's second season.
