We're definitely taking this with a pinch of salt, but a listing on "TV Time" may have revealed both the premiere date and episode titles for Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel TV series. CBR spotted them and verified that they can be found on the app, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're accurate.
Anyway, the show will supposedly debut on the streaming service on May 13 with "Kamala Khan: Embiggen." That will then be followed by five weekly episodes titled, "Lockin' Jaws," "The Woman I Look Up To," "New Kid on the Block," "My Faith," and "Only Here to Save the World." They're all pretty believable (it's not like any are titled "Black Bolt Arrives!") but are they legit?
There's no way to know for sure, unfortunately, but that date is definitely incorrect unless Disney+ plans to stream episodes of Ms. Marvel and Obi-Wan Kenobi at the same time (the Star Wars show's premiere date was recently confirmed by the streamer). Regardless, "Lockin' Jaws" is an interesting episode title.
Lockjaw is a member of the Inhumans in the comic books and serves as the teleporting pet of the Royal Family. The giant pooch made his live-action debut in ABC's Inhumans TV series, but a limited budget meant he only played a small role in proceedings and the visual effects...weren't the best.
After Kamala Khan was exposed to the Terrigen Mists, Lockjaw was sent to keep an eye on her. It doesn't look like the MCU's Ms. Marvel will be an Inhuman (with her powers instead coming from Kree technology similar to the Mar-Vell version of Captain Marvel), so this might be a fun nod to the teleporter and little more. It would be great to see the Inhumans reinvented in the show, though.
Ms. Marvel is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
