The first reviews are in for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and while green may be Jennifer Walters' colour, the series is currently looking positively fresh with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%.
There are some complaints about the show, and it's clear the comedic tone isn't for everyone. It also appears as if a lot of critics would have preferred to see some more original ideas, while others question how well the character will translate from the small screen to the big one (an issue we definitely didn't have while watching the first four episodes).
For the most part, though, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is receiving a lot of praise, with Tatiana Maslany, in particular, singled out for what sounds like a star-making performance. The fourth wall breaks have also been well-received, while the overall consensus appears to be this is another sensational win for Marvel Studios.
The first episode arrives on Disney+ tomorrow, so check back then for our spoiler-filled breakdown of all the biggest moments and reveals.

A verdict has been reached on She-Hulk, and it’s a mighty Marvel masterpiece! Tatiana Maslany is sensational as the lawyer-turned-superhero, while the show’s quirky, offbeat tone perfectly encapsulates the weirder side of the MCU in a way you’ve never seen before. [5/5] - ComicBookMovie.com
Laugh-out-loud funny, packed with interesting themes, and just an all-round good time, She-Hulk breaks new ground for Marvel’s TV shows — and is one of their best small-screen offerings yet. [4/5] - Empire Online
Ideally, a show billed as Marvel’s first out-and-out comedy would be notably funnier than, say, Hawkeye. But the self-aware sensibility and Maslany’s performance help both She-Hulk and the series named for her carve their own place within the large and formulaic MCU apparatus. - Rolling Stone
It could just be that these four episodes, all directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me), are entirely about introducing the character, her voice and her professional world, and the rest of the nine-episode first season will be dedicated to grounding She-Hulk in a way that would let her be integrated into future Marvel projects...so far, it kinda is a cameo-of-the-week show — one that isn’t without pleasures as long as you’re not allergic to silliness. - The Hollywood Reporter
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law hits all the right notes as a sitcom while still nailing the beats you’d expect out of an entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though the first episode is all the necessary, run-of-the-mill origin story you’d expect, none of it is presented in a way that could be considered boring. And yes, the effects look better than the first trailer you saw. [8/10] - IGN
Though She-Hulk: Attorney at Law could not be more different from the last Marvel Disney+ shows, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, all things considered, it might be the MCU's best Disney+ move yet. - CBR
She-Hulk very much leans into its comedy, and Jennifer’s fourth-wall breaks – a trademark of hers from the comics – is a superb way for the show to poke fun at itself, while also reminding viewers to simply have fun and go along for the ride. Women watching the show will also feel emboldened by the painfully-accurate dialogue about the realities of being a woman in the modern day and age, including feeling the pressure to repress anger on a daily basis when facing sexist remarks at work or catcalling in the street. [4/5] - Metro
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is one of Marvel’s best series to date. It’s a legal comedy that just happens to star comic book characters. Tatiana Maslany leads an amazing cast as the perfect Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk. If you like fun, then you’ll love She-Hulk. - Black Girl Nerds
Individually, none of She-Hulk’s drawbacks keep it from being watchable, and when they’re all working in concert, the show’s able to get by relying on its irreverent sense of humor and ability to laugh at itself. While Jen might need a new game plan if and when she ever makes the leap over to Marvel’s films, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s approach to the bruiser works reasonably well for the small screen, and it’s almost certain to go down as one of Phase 4’s more inspired entries. - The Verge
While there’s plenty to like and latch onto along the way, it’s hard to shake the feeling while watching "She-Hulk" that its approach is several years behind the curve. Jen’s passion for her job doesn’t have a clear motivation beyond winning cases, and her misadventures on the "Matcher" dating app have nothing new to say about dating via swipes beyond that it generally sucks. Even the costuming, deliberately lurid and strangely reliant on chunky statement necklaces circa 2010, feel several steps out of date. - Variety
Maslany remains one of the most magnetic performers around, constantly elevating whatever material she is given. When the series fully gives in to the silliness of legal proceedings featuring shape-shifting elves and hack magicians with Doctor Strange's powers, it's funny and engaging. When it goes off in too many directions, it falters. - USA Today
As per usual, we don’t know if "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" will stick the landing and or if it’ll be overcome by plot in the second half of the series, but four episodes in, it’s a breezy, effortless watch, with refreshing low stakes. Wasn’t this the promise of Marvel TV anyhow? Watching them save the planet one day, and then the next, have to deal with laundry, an eccentric family, and the annoying rigors of the day job? "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" won’t be for all audiences, but for those sick of Marvel’s mystery box plotting, is a very big breath of fresh air. [B+] - The Playlist
