Yet another mutant has been added to the cast of Fox's untitled X-Men family drama, though at least we know the identity of this one! According to Variety, Jamie Chung (who recently played Valerie Vale in Gotham and voiced Go Go in Big Hero 6) will star as Blink, a mutant with the power of teleportation. She hails from the comic books and was played by Fan Bingbing in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

This version of the character is described as, "sarcastic, lively and a bit of a tomboy. Her naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly 'home,' she is slowly becoming herself again."

The show is set to focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The Sentinels have been confirmed as appearing while Nix has been previously quoted as saying that the untitled series will be set in the same world as the films.

Blair Redford was recently cast as Sam, the strong-headed leader of the underground network. According to the trade, "a slew of other superhero characters are currently in the process of being cast." What do you guys think of this latest casting addition to the series?

I liked the Days of Future Past Blink, but I guess that this is cool too. I mean, with DoFP whole purpose being that they could recast Blink and all them. Anyways, on board to New Mutants. If Kinberg does Supernova, let's hope he does it like he wrote Sherlock Holmes, not This Means War.

@Invictor - I dont see how contuinity is messed up.

Everything Post-1973 is altered becuase of DoFP. Assuming this series is set in the present timeline. Then it safe to say that Blink was born earlier.
Also because she was born + raised in a different timeline, she will have had different experiences which would explain why she may likely have a different personality.

As for the "recasting", I dont think that affects contuinity at all. The character will still have expereinced the same story no matter what actor/actress plays them.

Im actually really excited for this seres now that Blink is going to be in it

Why not bring back the girl from DOFP? Oh well. Also I have tried three times to get through the legion pilot, but still can't, anybody else in a similar situation, and to those of you who saw the rest, should I continue with the show?
