A new TV spot for Marvel and FOX's upcoming X-Men spinoff series, The Gifted, is now online, and it contains a few brief shots that weren't in the first trailer.

In addition to some new footage of the central couple and their kids on the run, we also get teasing new glimpses of some of the mutant characters - including Blink, Thunderbird and Polaris - using their powers.

THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The Gifted premieres this fall.

I was really hoping Blinks powers would work like in DoFP were she throws the shards. But it looks like she has to rip the portals open.
Perhaps she has recently come into her powers and is struggling.

My lil sister will love this! :D
For the same reason this show appeals to me.
Just because it is related to the X-Men.
Meaning Homo Superiors, the fiction-fact that there's a possibility that the human race could evolve into these beings.
She/we always loved that, a simple explanation given by Stan Lee, yet very effective.

I don't expect this to be quality-wise on par with Legion, but i hope that it will be at least entertaing, if they pull an "Heroes" instead of a...idk The Tomorrow ppl, that would be awesome!

This looks pretty entertaining, if a bit generic. I like the Sentinals and hope we get to see the big ones soon. Overall, it looks good. I can't tell whether this takes place in the singer universe of if covfefe

In the comics in order to be an mutant didn't at least one of the parents have to be one? Or do one of the parents have to be subjected to radiation or something? It sounds like in this show both parents are normal. So are the kids adopted?

The trailer looked okay. This TV spot makes the show look awful.

Heroes season 1 is still the best superhero TV series produced so far. i really wish they would have stayed the course with that one.

This show is going to be pure garbage! I am tried of watching super powered teenagers being victimized why can't they just be heroes! The show should be a flash back to one of the characters, JUST ONE!! This is a waste of money.

@astromerc - But that is what the X-men are. Mutants being persecuted.
This show will show "normal everday" mutants living on the streets. Not mutants that live in safety in xaviers school nor function as x-men (involved in huge battles).
Though the family characters do feel generic. Polaris and blink look interesting. I think eventually (given the reaction of the trailer; peopleare excited about Polaris) they will like fade the family out of the series and focus in Polaris and the others.
