WANDAVISION: New Stills Released As Kevin Feige Teases The Origin Of The Scarlet Witch's Powers

Some new stills from WandaVision have been released, while Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige teases the origin of the Scarlet Witch's powers and reveals yet another sitcom setting we'll be visiting...

WandaVision is coming to Disney+ on January 15th, 2021, and based on what little we know about the series, it's going to be worth the wait.

Clearly, the Scarlet Witch's powers are about to be explored in a huge way, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said on multiple occasions now that he believes the character is the most powerful in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff," he tells Empire Magazine in their latest issue. "And no character seems to be as powerful as Wanda Maximoff. And no character has a power-set that is as ill-defined and unexplored as Wanda Maximoff."

"So it seemed exploring that would be worthwhile post-Endgame. Who else is aware of that power? Where did it come from? Did the Mind Stone unlock it?"

It's definitely beginning to feel like Wanda is, in fact, a mutant and that Baron Von Strucker's experiments only "activated" the gene. Before we get to that, though, we'll be following both the Scarlet Witch and The Vision in their weird new sitcom surroundings.

"We go up to the Modern Family and The Office style," he reveals. "The talk-to-the-camera, shaky-camera, documentary style."

Check out a couple of new stills from WandaVision below:

I'm so excited for this! Maybe this is how they introduce mutants, in some capacity. The future is bright and unknown

@bobevanz - I've ben saying this for the longest. They should make it so that the Infinity Stones activate the X-gene. And the 50% of the population that were unsnapped, who also had the X-gene started developing powers

Everything Feige says here is true. "Where did it come from?" basically screams mutants.

@TheManWithoutFear - I though "Who else is aware of that power?" was the more interesting question. The disturbance in the force had been felt.

@Rosraf - So, maybe "Yoda" was aware of the power?

@Spock0Clock - Don't forget the purple penis, although I always thought of him as a very dark red, myself. Of course before that story, it was only his face I was thinking of.

I loved how Scarlet Witch nearly beat Thanos on her own in Avengers:Endgame.
