THE WITCHER: Epic First Trailer Reveals That It's All About Monsters And Money For Geralt Of Rivia

The first trailer for The Witcher is here, and it's going to make fans of both the books and video games very happy indeed because it's absolutely epic and full of badass action and terrifying monsters.

Henry Cavill may have moved on from the role of Superman, but after his superb turn in Mission: Impossible - Fallout, the actor is now making the leap to the small screen for Netflix's The Witcher.

This definitely looks like it could be the online streaming service's own Game of Thrones and there's plenty here which should satisfy fans of both the video games and series of novels. It looks absolutely epic, and Cavill definitely seems to be comfortable in his role as the badass demon hunter.

The Witcher debuts later this year and we'll no doubt start seeing more from it very soon.

In the show, "Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together."

The teaser poster doesn't reveal much but common sense says we can now expect a trailer to follow in the coming weeks. Comic-Con seems like a pretty safe bet assuming Netflix will be there!

Well, it's fair to say Henry Cavill looks the part, right? A traveling monster slayer for hire, Geralt was mutated and trained from an early age to slay deadly beasts and is obviously quite the badass.

Yennefer is a powerful sorceress and is Geralt of Rivia's true love and a mother figure to Ciri, who she views like a daughter. Anya Chalotra (Wandelust) will be taking on the role in this series.

Tthe adopted daughter of Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer of Vengerberg, Ciri is one of the franchise's lead female characters and was actually a playable character in the third video game in the series.

That looks a lot better than I was expecting. Like everything looks great, the costumes, the cinematography, the visuals, story, acting and that music is nice and Cavill looks awesome.
